The locals like it just fine, but sadly there are more cowboys here than just this one from Rochdale (British Disease).
 2.
Hello! I like Lanzarote, its unique bleak beauty (and sunshine and wind). Great place to ride a bike. Is there much of a music scene? What do you do there?
At the moment the Islend is very green as we had a lot of rain during November and December. The music scene here is very much split between the tourist trade which normally amounts solo or duo covers, some are really good, but very few "bands". The "Local" scene is very different and ranges from the original folk music throuh Latino with a lot of the younger people into a heavy rock type sound (which in Spanish is very difficult to pull off), in fact the band that really seems to cover most generations is Ac/Dc who believe it or not have a street named after them in Madrid. 3. Hi all, Just thought I'd beter get myself introduced. Originally from Rochdale but moved out to Lanzarote in the Cannary Isles three years ago. Yes it is generally very sunny here although it can be windy. But very glad I made the move and changed my lifestyle. I've been playing for only 6 years and apart from occasional jams with guitards very much a bedroom warrior. As for gear I have a Sadowsky NYC 4 PJ, a Squier VMJ and a Line6 Bass xtlive. for the next 10 days I am ampless as my Ashdown Mag300 has blown its tranny for the second and last time, at least in my ownership. A friend is bringing out a Marshall MB450H (couldn't convince the wfe about a VBA400) which for the time being I will play through the Ashdown 410. As to the music I would best be described as ecclectic, not to be confused with eccentric, because I like lots of different stuff and tend to take each track as it comes, I either like it or I don't. My four favourite bands are very different Ac/Dc, Clapton, Gary Moore and Lizzy. Bass Influences range through John Mcvie, Chas Chandler, Jack Bruce, Timothy B Schmit, Phil Lynot, Tommy Shannon, Roger Glover, John Deacon and Andy Pyle. Think thats enough for now, speak soon
