    Of course 😁

I've not gotten round to taking pictures yet, at least not any better than the listing pictures 😁. So I've had a week or so with the bass. At first I was dissapointed, it felt a bit cheap and not that much smaller than my usual bass. After a couple of band rehearsals I have fallen in love with it! The sound I'm getting now is perfect for my needs. The low end is so full and satisfying and I love the flatwound strings. Thank you for helping me to find the bass guys and for all he extra advice.

Good man! You got what you were originally looking for and for a good price. Now, something you need to know about BC, there’s a rule, which is so strict that it has its own emoji…

We expect these and a full report on your new bass’s arrival.

    Of course 😁

The Gibson DC Junior Bass in ebony is in stock at Thomman for £795 and they now send it to the U.K. duty paid and free postage. Can’t go wrong with a US made Bass at that price. Reviews are excellent.

Thanks man, I've gone ahead and bought the huntington via this forum. Got it for 450 in mint condition. If I like it then I'll probably look at something more high end next year 👍 if I love it though then it's job done 😁

  4. Loving the information, thanks guys. Sounds like I've started on a long road 😁. Never used flatwounds, I'm gonna have to give them a go. After listening to some comparisons I like the top end of rounds but the flats have their own charm to my ears, they sound cleaner, less harmonics but that could just be the player in the examples.

  5. I'm in Blackpool UK. The music shops here are not great. I might take a trip to PMT in Manchester but even there they are limited for what they actually have in stock in the way of short scale. I'm not sure how easy it is to order  a guitar online and return if I don't like it. Does anyone have any advice for buying online and returning if needed?

  6. Hello all, my name is Luke. I'm brand new here and looking for some advice if you would be so kind. I want to buy a short scale bass, I play in a band and most bass guitars dwarf me as I'm a slim, short derrière. I also move a round a lot on stage and have almost knocked out our guitarist a few times with the head of my bass. I have a budget of £800, I could stretch a little further for the right bass. I was interested in the Supro Huntington but can't find any of the models anywhere (there is one on reverb.com buts it's actually long gone) so I started looking at the Sterling Stingrays but only seem the find the baby blue or white one which I really don't like the look of (stupid I know). I'm now looking at the Gibson Les Paul junior but it's out of stock at most places apart from the blue stain one which seems to be more expensive than the other colours and I'm getting confused by it all and whether any of these bass guitars are worth it. None of the music shops near me have any short scale bass guitars to try. Loads of shops advertise these bass guitars but when you go to check out they don't actually have any stock. I play mostly heavy rock and punk and I use a pick (sorry 🤣).

I don't have loads of money so don't wanna make a bad purchase choice if I can help it. If you were in my small shoes with my small budget, what short scale bass would you go for? Thanks for reading.
