Given the amount of basses I used to buy and flip over the years, I don't think anything is safe.
Closest would be my all black parts mix Fender Jazz. Plays like a dream and sounds good. It's not too hard on the eyes either. I'd say it's pretty safe.

I play a Fender Jazz through a Little Mark 3 that I usually dial in one of three ways:
1. It's pushing air and sounds like a kick drum. I like that one for super strong grooves.
2. Trebley tone, pick or no pick, something that gets more harmonic depth in it than tone 1, I use this for funk/fusiony stuff when I'm not fighting distorted guitars.
3. EQ pedal set to take the high mids and treble out so that it sounds like a P Bass, basically my P Bass button. I haven't used this one in a band yet, though. -
Thank you all, kindly.

Hi guys,
Aussie here. Been playing bass since 2009. Mainly a Jazz Bass guy.
Been faffing around with various places wanting to talk about bass, but all I know these days are guitarists that don't respect the craft.
See yaz around.
One Finger Per Fret- pinky not an issue

I've always done 4 fingers per 3 frets until somewhere around the 9th fret. I guess that's modified Simandl.
1 finger per fret seems like more like a guitar thing, and I do use that system when I play guitar.
