Possibly worth stating this is a left handed bass and advertising it within the Left Handed basses for sale marketplace.
Thanks Mark, I didnt realise there was a left handed basses for sale category.

Do you know roughly how much it weighs?
Its lighter than my Fender Jazz bass FSR, I would guess around 9lb.

Wonder if it's somehow related to the Eastcoast brand, seems to be some similarities...perhaps an ex employee doing their interpretation.
Same font seems to be used for the logo, similar oval pearl inlays from some of their models, similar giant semi-circle electronics cover, similar pickup covers and knobs on some of the models, neck-thru models, both been around in the 90s and so on.
Might be worth shooting them a mail and asking if they know of any relationship between the brands.
possibly, I found a contact form for Eastcoast guitars and have sent them a message.

Yes, looking better the battery compartment is also in a different place. Is your bass by any chance quite heavy and without foam under the pickups, much like these HBs?
Its on the light side, around 8lbs. Not sure if theres foam under the pickups or not. The control cavity looks like this.

It's very much identical to this Harley Benton...

It does look very similar, except the bridge is different and the fretboard looks to be made of a darker wood.

Gibson DC Junior Bass (upgraded with Hipshot bridge)
in Basses For Sale
Posted
In excellent condition, upgraded the 3 point bridge to a fully adjustable and far superior high quality hipshot bridge. No offers please, comes with a gig bag. Can post for an additional £20.
The Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass is a tribute to the historic Gibson EB-0 bass from the late 50's, but with modern features. Not just for smaller players, the short scale length is actually chosen by many for its strong fundamental tone and sits perfectly in a track when recording. The mahogany double cutaway body and maple neck with rosewood fingerboard balances perfectly when playing either sitting or strapped on. It's equipped with a single expanded range LP BassBucker pickup with single volume and tone controls for simplicity. The volume pot has a push-pull feature to coil tap the pickup scooping the mids for further tone shaping possibilities.
