  You have my complete sympathies... I was made redundant in 2023, and I'm still angry. I now work at a level I last visited in 2003, and don't earn much more. Thankfully my wife seems immune to this disease, probably by being rather brilliant.
  
  I recently did some very decent gigs and a tour, but it didn't have the extra shine it should have had. Perhaps it was because I knew it would end and back I'd head...
  
  I have no helpful words, I'm afraid. Just a rueful nod of the head.
