1. I have some of the Planet Waves version of these but stopped using them.

I find the problem with these straight adaptors is they don't work between pedals from different manufacturers as the jack sockets are subtly different heights between makes, so you can get pedals being slightly up in the air etc. When you go stomping on a pedal you end up straining jack sockets, and on most mass produced stuff (EHX, MXR, Boss, Ibanez etc) these are connected to the PCB and potentially will damage it.

  2. I'm currently using a modd'ed Boss BD-2 Blues Driver.

I changed the input and output caps to give more bass response and the tone circuit, and the clipping diodes, sounds really good on my bass, big and dirty, but with the ability to really clean up too.

If anyone has one they want modding to make it more bass firendly let me know.

  3.
Thank you, but I've already owned a Psilocybe (which, by the way, is an AMAZING phaser... maybe my favourite one... but unfortunately it had some resonances which were really annoying...).
Hmm, interesting, coudl you explain a big more about the resoances / I don't seem toget any, just curious how you were getting them ?

    Cheers,
    Dan.

  4.
It is model GCB-95 if that is any help. I've had it a year or so but hasn't been used in a few months.
GCB-95 in a Dunlop Crybaby not a Vox, doh !!

  5.
That'd be a REALLY big waste of £160 though lol. Not to mention this is one of the best phasers out there.
Would you be interested in a trade for a HBE Psilocybe phaser ?

  6.
The Carbon Copy is a great pedal, for it's size I don't think it can be beaten. I have a MXR Phase 90 next in the chain after mine for even more fun.
Good stuff, I always run my delay into phaser, so each individual repeat hits teh phaser on a different part of its cycle.

  7.
I apologise, my recording setup is TERRIBLE!!

This is the P+C used just by itself:

    And into the Maxon AF-9:

Ok so I did these soundclips yonks ago, and they probably aren't as accurate as the sounds I've got now, but they give you a basic idea :)

I've got a soundclip of using it with the Subdecay Prometheus and Boss OC-2 with a bit of Analog Delay, but I haven't been able to upload it for some reason, so PM your address and I'll send it over.
That Maxon sounds pretty useful, how slow can it go ?

  8.
Anyone tried this on on bass yet?

    http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/US600.aspx

Looks like a cheapy version of the Boss PS pedals. Could never justify the money for the Boss but for less than £40 I could be tempted ;)

    Cheers

I tried it and it was OKish, ended up getting a Boss PS-5. Over on harmony central its got mixed reactions, some like it and soem despise it. But tehy I concluded all I wanted was a ocatve up and baught a Danelectro instead.

Now the cheeky bit (!!) - if you want a Boss PS-5 I have one I'm selling for say £70 ?

  9. Have a look on ebay for a CE-2 bass version (I can't recall the name, think it's CEB-2 or CE-2B) I played it years ago and it's superb. The CE-2 is (probably) the best sounding chorus going, the CEB-2 has a lower frequenyc (great four teh 4 string) and a volume effect knob so you don't have to have 100% wet mix.

  10. I've been running my Bass recently through a T-Rex Mudhoney and it sounded pretty dirty, worth checking one out. The gain on uit can get pretty wild (pseudo fuzzy) and also cleans up very nicely too. The tone control was also pretty responsive on a bass too which I liked.

  11. My first bass was a Hondo, I was all excited when I got it, I took the back off to fix a broken solder joint and the wood looked just like an old fashioned tea chest, worst piece of plywood ever. I'm struggling to remember how it sounded, other than muffled.

  12. The black one looks like a Demeter perhaps.....

The white one with the red circle, can't recall then name it but have seen them before.
