  1. In really nice condition, this is a natural finish with a lovely grain, roasted maple neck and has been upgraded with Hipshot licensed ultralight tuners which is a great upgrade (I have the original tuners if you would prefer, but these are a great addition).

Plays and sounds great, these Ray 35's are wonderful basses and are supremely giggable. I have had a lot of positive comments about the tone of this bass and it has been a great companion on many gigs.

Comes with original Sterling gig bag.

  3. Sold.

Here we have a lovely 5 string Stingray 2004 in Egyptian smoke (lovely colour!), comes complete with original Musicman hard case.

Plays well and sounds exactly as it should, has the usual marks and sign of age but is in overall very nice condition, it's been well looked after and it has been a great gigging bass. Maple Neck Rosewood Fretboard, Matching Headstock, frets in good shape, truss rod turns as it should.  Wearing EB Slinky's.

See pics (RIC case in photographs is just a support)  This has it's own!

Cheers! Was lucky I had a bunch of Warwick spares and know these basses well! Love a project!

Lovely. Why would someone put a bit of card under a just-a-nut, though?

I know, I never understand why other brands haven’t adopted a similar approach to the nut. Basically, I removed card, oiled the screws and turned the screw one turn, sorted!

    Nice one!

I've said it on many occasions that I've had and sold Pro I instruments (inc first year of issue and Custom Shop) whilst still retaining my Pro II bass... it just feels and plays better!

I know, I have had Pro 1’s and just never got on with them, but the Pro2 is so nice to play, so light, ergonomic and I think punchy.

In its own right the Pro2 is a great bass.

  7. For many years I use to play and love a Warwick Dolphin Pro2, it served me very well.  I know they have an interesting heritage, best summed up as ‘The bastard child of Warwick’ (coined by someone else), I sold it on here years ago.

Fast forward to now, I found locally on Farcebook marketplace a pretty much identical model, slightly different colour scheme but same vintage.

Picked it up last night from a lovely chap at a reasonable price, so brought it home.

Fair to say, I could see the potential but it obviously hadn’t had a lot of love over the years.

I fully stripped it back removed all hardware, and deep cleaned it, polished the frets (which were not worn too much at all, result) oiled the fretboard, several times. Checked truss rod moved.  Tightened up all the machine heads, which were loose. Adjusted the nut as it had a bit of card under the G string. The jack socket needed replacement too, again, luckily I had one in my spares cupboard.

Luckily I had a new replacement bridge in my spares as the original was very manky and all the saddles were corroded.

I then put a new set if Warwick red label strings on it and did a full Warwick set up, stage by stage, ( forgot how much I enjoyed setting up Warwicks).

All in all, 4 hours work, a new bridge, set of strings, a replacement jack socket and a lot of lemon oil and cleaners and duraglit later, and I have a sensational bass to show for my troubles,  it has come out better than expected.

Very pleased with the result, a really playable bass, and a world apart from what I started with.

  8. Hi All,

    Now withdrawn.

I bought this brand new and installed a Stinger77 pre amp in it, which is such a good mod.  It is in as new condition, plays and sounds great.

Trouble is I only play 5’s now, had thought it would be fun to have a four again, but basically don’t use it.

priced to sell, can post, have packaging etc at cost.

    Cheers

    Stuart

  11. Hi All,

Whilst sorting out some stuff in the loft I came across a box of NOS miniature bass guitar models, great ornaments, I just never got around to using them, so thought they might be good fun for Christmas!

Each one comes in it's own box, complete with stand.

I was thinking £14.50 each inc P&P to mainland UK  or make me an offer for the lot?

    I have:

    Sting Bass   SOLD

    Flea Modulus

Jones Alembic (this one has a missing tuner so £12.00 posted?)

    Trujillo Bass

Sixx Ovation (this one has two missing tuners so £10.00 posted?)

    Yin & Yang Bass

    B Collins Bass

    Geddy Lee Bass

    Phil Lynott Bass

Unkown Bass (Silver with Blue Flame)

Forgive my rubbish photography, they are lovely looking curios.
