Hello! I'm selling a beautiful old German 3/4 double bass dating to around 1880, it has a flat back, adjustable M J Hart bridge and is complete with a low C extension with stops for D and E. The bass is fitted with a K&K pickup and comes with a leather quiver - I can also provide a bow and soft case if you like. The setup is very comfortable to play for jazz with a lot of clarity in the mid range but it also has a strong arco sound with growling lows, I know it has been used for orchestral work in the past. Feel free to get in touch with any questions, or to arrange visiting and trying out the bass in Sheffield - I'll consider driving the bass to you within reasonable distance.

A 7/8 size 5 string bass with a very big sound and a lot of clarity. The bass is in great condition with an adjustable bridge and comes with a Kinsman stand and high quality padded soft case. Fitted with Pirastro Chromcor strings - here is a description from the bassbags website: "The Eastman VB200 is a violin pattern 5 string double bass that is entirely carved from solid wood with figured Maple used for the back & ribs, and Spruce for the top.
