  1. 2005 Fender American Series Fretless Jazz Bass Babitz full contact bridge and strap locks with originals supplied. String-through-body bridge and single coil pickups with Series / Parallel switching. Professional set up with nice low action, in pretty much perfect condition. Light at 4.2kg and sounds beautiful. Sadly not being played and it deserves to be. Based in Devon.

  2. Sterling Sterling SB14 Passive in Natural Nice and light, really nice wood grain pattern front and back and a lovely warm tone. Strung with flats, which I guess are original. I can’t find any marks or signs of ware. Protective coating still on the pickguard and neck plate. Great looking instrument, fast neck, passive (so no battery fails) the only two controls you need; volume & tone and a great sound, but I’m not playing it, so it needs to go to someone who will. Based in Devon not far from Plymouth. I also have a guitar box in my garage if you’d prefer to set up a courier.
  3. Hi Phil, is there a SW Bash happening this year? I can’t see anything in the events section at all (apart from Stingray Pete’s wedding anniversary reminder - Don’t forget Pete 😉
  4. SOLD. Many thanks for your interest. Not sure how to edit the heading to add Sold. Can anyone advise?
  5. Feels a good weight to handle and neck balance imho.
  6. Hi Pat, see dm. Cheers, Ben
  7. Guy Pratt - Pink Floyd, Roxy Music, Madonna and many more - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Pratt This is his signature bass by the Bass Centre London. In pretty much immaculate condition, I can’t find any signs of wear. Nice low action pro set up with no fret buzz and strung with ground wounds which sound great with the EMG pickups. The strap has seen better days, as the coating is peeling off, but is still functional and comes with the original case and strings. Not looking for trades as I have already bought a replacement, but I could be tempted by a Stingray of some flavour (possibly with cash adjustment) especially fretless. Based in Devon (kettle always on) but I do occasionally travel around, so let me know if geography is an issue.
  8. SOLD - Thanks Paul, great to meet you, hope you enjoy. Should have stayed for the cuzza, it was a cracker.
  9. Great photo ... and great bass
  10. There were a few Ibanez models in the late 70’s and 80’s which shared parts and were highly thought of. Guessing the timbers and quality would have defined the range. There was a Roadster, a Roadstar and the Blazer. I’m sure people know a lot more about the range, but I believe the Blazer sat on the top and I bought this one as I love the red & Maple, brass fittings, unusual heart shaped tuners and it has a lovely deep smooth tone.
  11. Reduced to £410 Any interest or offers? Could be in Bristol Thursday 15th & Wednesday 21st
  12. Available to view / play in Bath area this weekend
  13. Ibanez Blazer made in Japan bass in beautiful red. Mahogany with maple neck. Fantastic sustain and huge tone recent luthier set up. Lovely original condition with a couple of dinks from being put onto a stand, but nothing that affects use or play. Rare to see original brass knobs. Based Ivybridge Devon for pick up and test drive, or give me a shout if you want to get courier pick up.
  14. Recently joined the family. Loads of fun and I’m getting used to the short scale. Punchy sound in omg, if there is any such thing as too much?
  15. Not bad … but ….
  16. Nice one, thanks. Looks like another option. Yes, I thought about upgrading the bridge and pup on the Bronco, but then that does give other options for price.
  17. Looking for a cheap lightweight short scale bass. Any recommendations? Harley Benton PB Shorty for £74 delivered seems amazing for a new bass. Squier Bronco in Red for £141 delivered. Is it twice as good? Gretsch Junior Jet secondhand maybe a bit more pricey, but seem to be very highly regarded. I can’t seem to find weights anywhere and Thomann’s won’t weigh or give weight information. Any advice appreciated
