I can't really say it used to be my cab though. A more accurate way of phrasing it is perhaps 'I used to store that cab in my house'
well thank you for storing it all that time, so I could have it now

  2.
Yeah I know what you mean about the HT115, Plux's is such a great sounding cab!

    Lucky git :)
Thank you dad, it does sound lovely!!

thanks, I'll tell him soon so he hopefully get one soon

  4. LH500 - best choice if you want a simple crisp sound!!!
loads of grunt, loads of volume to grunt
really simple use, basically just plug in and go, no fiddling with eq knobs and that stuff

Got my recommendation to anyone who needs a 500 watt amp for less than £450

(haha, I got mine when it was £180, cos I got it last christmas - though it was a gamble then)

  5.
I just wanted to share with you all; I put in my order for a Barefaced Compact yesterday with the vintage look!

Roll on next Wednesday when I pick it up!

I will post a review and some pictures once I have given it a good road test.

Also it will be attending my gig at the Monto Waterrats in London on the 18th December!
good man! alex will be a happy bunny!!!

  6.
I'm not too fuss about reaching the same volume levels, as most gig's my amp doesn't get past half way. Also, we've just upgraded to a 3-speaker-a-side Fein PA, with a couple of QSC poweramps, so i'll be DI'ing out of my sansamp through the PA.

I just want something that will be loud enough to be a decent monitor, but have some great tone for smaller gigs if i decide not to DI. I still think a 610 will be too big, probs biggest size would a 410.
how much is your budget?

  7.
After excessive amounts of grief off my band mates whining about having to lift my cab about when loading the van to gig, I've decided that after Xmas, i'm going to get shot of my gorgeous 70's svt 810, and get something that will stop the band complaining, and still give me a decent sound!

I've heard a lot of decent things about aguilar, although haven't seen many rigs about. Was hoping there was going to one of the music shops at bass day selling some, but to my dismay, no :). I saw someone playing through a pair of GS112's, a solo bassist playing to a backing track, and he had a nice sound. I know the DB112s are meant to have better mids than the GS's but is that the only difference? What are the 412's like?

What kind of sound can I expect from mark bass 410's? Does any one else have any ideas for me?
You want light but loud, go talk to alex at barefaced, all of his cabs are light, or go bergantino cos they are awesome!!

also what sort of stuff you playing?

  8.
Cheers Stag! We're going to a few gigs in the next couple of weeks at places we're likely to get gigs at so
i'm going to have a good look/listen at what the other bands are using and speak to a few of them about their gear.

Also might try to get to the bass bash in Gateshead.
I'd get a Hartke LH500 and Barefaced Compact, I power to weight to value is what you want
LH500 - cheap and really really loud
Compact - seriously light and great sound

  9.
You wont regret it. They do sound pretty darn good.
+1
had mine almost a year now, no problems at all (I got mine while they were still £180 new, now they have almost doubled)
lovely tone, I never need the eq section on anything but as flat as possible (bass - 2, mid - full, treble - 3)
never needed to D.I it, as I run it 500watts into a Berg HT210 and HT115

however because of the Bergs being so good, they pick-up the tiny bit of hiss it puts out
but with a Barefaced Compact, never heard it hiss once

great amp, hope you get one soon
