the fans are really silent.
it's nearly impossible to feel them working.. even at low volumes and in the studio. Note that there are THREE fans!!!
one works at low speed and is always on, inaudible, and serves to vent the heat of the valve from the chassis.
the other 2 fans work in forced circulation and are intelligently managed by a microprocessor, they don't work before 48 degrees, so if you play at home or in the studio, they will never start.
after 48 degrees there are 5 speed steps based on the power supplied. the probe that measures the temperature is placed in a strategic position inside the dissipator.
another interesting thing, when you turn on the head, all the fans start at maximum speed for a fraction of a second, this is to let out any dust or dirt.
The manufacturer, Mauro, is crazy and leaves nothing to chance, it took him 3 years to design this temperature control and management system!!!
the head as an extreme test, was made to work at 1.6 ohm for 12 hours in a row, it gets to be barely warm, while other competitors get to boil much earlier!!!
this head is world class made!!!
I can't play anything else anymore
Amazing! Thanks for the follow up!

The two amps sounds great both!!some small details are different
aguilar are more warm and comfortable
but the sisma and cabs are like a sword in the mix.. more detailed at higher volume.. and linear..
the db750 with Jad&Freer cabs are a perfect match too.
I think I will be happy for the future with this amps to match..
…but The sisma head are a little monster… more present and punchy than the db750.
and it does not sounds like a class D amp
Would love to know how the fan is on the Sisma. Have you tried using it at home as a practice amp at low volumes? Does the fan stay disengaged? Looks like a fantastic little amp..

A few people have messaged regarding weight : The bass weighs approx 4.3kg on my bathroom scales. Feels light and beautifully balanced.

WITHDRAWN FROM SALE :
A project has come in where this bass will come in handy, so I’m taking it off the market for the time being. I may re-list at a later date.
——————————————————
Olympic White finish with Ash body and Birdseye Maple fingerboard. Comes with original case, paperwork and supplied tools/strap locks.
Ordered directly from Fodera and has lived either at home or at my studio, both non-smoking environments. Just checked the body and neck for any blemishes and couldn't find any, so I'm going to say it's essentially mint!
Collection from my studio in London preferred, or can arrange meeting at a mutually convenient location in/around London for hand-over. Will only consider international freight if I’ve not been able to sell locally after a month or so. Sorry!
More pics/details on request over DM.
No trades, thank you. Straight sale only.

Thanks for looking!

This is a great price for a fantastic instrument. Incredibly versatile with the dual coil pickups and preamp, and amazingly comfortable to play. Can tick many boxes.
Love mine!
If you’re thinking of getting one of these, don’t hesitate. Grab this (relative) bargain!

You also have a trimpot in the back for passive tone control You can regulate using a philips screwdriver in the hole of the backplate
Indeed! Very handy..
This bass is still available, btw.. ideally for collection in London/Hertfordshire..

Hi, consider trades?
Has it only volume control?
Hi Auslander. I’m not considering any trades, sorry! Trying to thin the herd, as it were.
Correct : the single knob is for volume. A very simple but very effective design!

Rob Allen Mouse 30 in as new condition. I'm the original owner, and ordered the bass direct from Rob in 2009.
I listed this back in December without any joy, so have lowered the price to match what other (less spec'd) Mice have been going for on the Basschats..
- Alder body
- Spruce top (I believe this is the last bass Rob made with a spruce top. At the time of ordering the bass he was switching to maple for the lighter coloured tops. I loved the look of the spruce and grabbed the last piece!)
- Birdseye maple neck
- Goncalo Alves fretboard (with extension) and bridge
- Protec gig bag (very sturdy)
Has only seen studio use, on just a handful of sessions, and has lived most of it's life in it's case in a smoke/pet free studio.
Located in NW6, London.
Lightweight, and sounds and plays beautifully. She's a beaut!
Collection preferred, but will post within the UK and EU if necessary (at buyers expense). Straight sale only please.

No love for this bad boy?
Heartbreaking!
Feel free to ask any questions or for more specific pics.
I’ve not sold on basschat before, but have purchased a couple of basses here, so can happily provide references if required.
Merry Christmas!

If interested, make me an offer. Will leave up here for a few more days, but will withdraw the listing this week if no bites.

I have one, and a ‘69 Mustang (purchased through the forum a decade or so ago). Even though the Pony is clearly based on a Mustang (and this is true of Vincent’s P and J basses also), there are some really clever design features which make them quite different instruments. They are incredibly even across the entire fretboard, and I find the zero-fret (instead of a nut) makes the open strings feel very controlled (and it opens up some interesting muting possibilities of the open strings with the left hand which aren’t possible with a regular nut). The honey-combed body makes the bass incredibly light in weight, and amazingly resonant (which is noticeable playing the instrument unplugged). The bridge gives you the option of traditional string mounting (ball ends through the back of the bridge), or they can sit through the bridge within the base on a piece of wood which is connected to the body to further increase resonance (their website could explain this much better than I’m doing!)
For me, the best way to describe Vincents in general is having the dna of classic Fenders, but being a very modern/stable/consistent instrument at the same time. And they’re beautifully crafted (by hand), with all woods and metal (except for the neck) sourced local to their workshop.
Out of the gate, the vintage Mustang has more low end heft and general bassy gooeyness (this could also be the 12 year old strings), but the Pony has a more modern attack/articulation (without been like an active bass, obviously), and you can dial in that extra low end after the fact with EQ/saturation if you want it. My Fender has over 50 years on the Pony (and their construction and components really are very different) so it’s a little unfair to compare, but the Pony totally stands up, and even does some things better. I’d definitely check one out if you were curious!
Here’s a little video I made for Vincent after I received the bass.. full disclosure : I purchased one of their P-type basses and loved it so much I got in touch with them to ask if they’d make a Mustang-esque instrument. Turned out they’d already been planning to do so. They sent me this one when it was ready and I did a little testing for them, and didn’t want to send it back so ended up buying the bass.
