Guys so sorry to post this again but the 2nd Dep we booked has fallen quite ill and I'm now thinking he won't be able to do the gigs.. am I able to post this message again without upsetting you!? Regular gigging indie rock covers band seeks committed and experienced bassist, ideally aged 30-50 although attitude is more important than age. Own transport and gear essential, must be happy to gig approx once a week and rehearse once a week near Aldershot area. Hi I am really sorry for not replying if you have PM'd me. I will do that now!! The reason I went cold on this was our existing bass player decided to stick around which meant we weren't sure if we still needed to find someone. Well things have definately moved forward now as this week he has officially decided to step down from the band due to family commitments and has given us until March 09 to find a suitable gig-ready replacement. Again, may I apologise if I have not contacted you ... that was bad. We are now holding auditions probably next week and we are interested in finding a really great bass player who is happy to travel to Farnborough, Hants for rehearsals and gig in the Surrey/Hants/Berks areas. We are an indie/rock/punk covers band who have become very busy with gigs and rehearsals and need to find a committed bass player. We are all in our 40's so we are juggling family and jobs with the band but we all enjoy playing live and have paid gigs booked up until the end of next year. Ideally we would like to find a great bassist in their 30's or 40's who loves the kind of music we play and is happy to rehearse once a week and gig up to 3 or 4 times a month in the Surrey/Hants/Berks areas. We play mainly in pubs and clubs but we are getting the occasional private function booking which pays more. We are a 5-piece indie covers band seeking a competent bass player with a good sense of humour, own gear and transport. You must enjoy playing live and be happy to play covers. The bands we cover range from Sex Pistols, The Clash, U2, Blondie, The Cult, Buzzcocks, from the past to modern day indie bands such as Oasis, Stereophonics, Supergrass, Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol, Killers, Green Day and The Fratellis, we add to our set regularly. Personality and band fit is just as important as playing skill to us so we will be trying to find the right person not just the best musician. The band is based in the Surrey/Hants area.
