1.
Let me see if I can find my AKAI PSU. If I can you can have it for free. I'll PM you in the next few days if I have it.
ah jeez that would be wonderful! I'd definately fix you up tho mate..
2. so.. I got the original american AKAI power supply that came with it, and after a minute it cut out with a smell of smoke! disaster! The deep impact itself is fine.. It seems to be working now with the BOSS 9V power supply, I was daisy chaining it with a distortion previously so maybe that was the issue? I know the korg microsynth manual specifies no daisychaining..
3. another question - is using a different power supply thats 9v potentially damaging to my deep impact?
4. cheers folks for the speedy response! you may all be right - I bought mine on ebay so it came with the american akai power supply and Im using a boss 9V, I'll see if I can source an AKAI PS P
5. hey My akai deep impact after about 20 minutes bypasses the effect even if the effect is turned on, it just plays a clean tone and the input signal is not reading ? has anyone else come across this problem? P
6.
I've played the fretless one that was in the Bass Centre in London when it was still a real shop on a couple of occasions. By far the nicest sounding and playing Warwick, I've ever had my hands on. However it's not at all like 'normal' Warwicks in sound, looks or playability, so if you're a fan of the more common Warwick basses you might not get on at all with this. I normally can't stand Warwicks. but this one pretty much ticked all the boxes for me. The one box it didn't tick was value for money. The Bass Centre wanted just under £4k for theirs and it was starting to show some signs of shop wear. Bear in mind that for that kind of money you can get pretty much any bass you want except for a few of the very high-end makes or a really good original vintage Fender (if that floats your boat). In the end I said nice but not nice enough at that price for an 'off-the-peg' instrument and had a custom Sei made instead for quite a bit less money.
ah cheers!, yep its a fair amount of cash, you could probably pick up anything you wanted for that, I have a 72 eb3, I wonder what warwick took on board from the eb's for it P:)
7. Warwick Jack Bruce Cream Reunion hey folks.. anybody play/own one of these? I'd love a look at one.. P
