  1. YouTube Link In this post I share with you an interpretation of this milonga called "La Corralera", rearranged for two basses. The key to study this piece is not only work into playing the notes accurately, but also paying attention of this "Joyful" mood that carries this composition. It is very important to be aware of all the dynamics and the expressions of every part, specially in an instrument that is not recognized for being the most dynamic one like the bass. In this link you can download all the studying material in GP5, PDF and Backing Tracks of each bassline so you can work on it: Link Hope you dig this! For any inquiry or question, just let me know! Enjoy and grab your bass right now! La Corralera - Linea Aguda - Backing Track.mp3 La Corralera - Linea Grave - Backing Track.mp3 La Corralera - Transcripción.pdf La Corralera.gp5

  4. YouTube Video! Hi! How’s it going? In this video, I’m showing a new Thumping exercise (Use the thumb as a pick) on Chic’s “Everbody Dance” intro as an example. The key of this technique es having control of all the movements of the thumb, knowing exactly when to do downstrokes and to do upstrokes (As shown in the pdf attached file) because we will coordinate this strikes with plucks of finger 1 of the right hand to play the top strings and also, we will skip strings with the thumb. It’s a great exercise that opens a whole new world of possibilites to use with this technique! Remember that the goal of all the excersises we do is that they develop in a musical context, which is exactly where we want to use them. Learning new techniques only playing random notes is like learning difficult words but not knowing where to use them! As always, I attachto the post a .rar file so you can download all the practice material, all for free! Hope you like it and grab your bass right now! Anyway, I'd like to share with you guys all the material I work in my lessons here in Argentina, so you can work it out and find lots of interesting material from a latin player! In this oportunity, I'd like to share with an etude that I wrote to work on the tapping technique in arpeggios form. YouTube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qLdxkF55ms Basically what I'm playing is the root, the third and the fifth of each chord (It's in the key of E major) in a creative way just to avoid playing the intervals in order. Here's a link where you can download all the material in GP5 and PDF format, as well as a backing track so you can work on it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15p0e3EZPQDMd-o4SeVKxcsgt1SPQ7taD/view Any question or inquiry, don't hesitate in contacting me!
