1.
They look great and have inspired me to get on and build my own cabs based around the 2512 speakers. All I need to do is find the time!
Good man!

What size will you make yours?

  2.
Very professional! Thats better than some of the cabinet finishes Ive seen that are actually on sale to the public. Nice :)
Thank you.

  3.
If they sound good to you then that is problem number one solved, IMV..and if people comment favourably
on your sound, then I would form a company and start making them... :)

They look well made which is half the battle, IMO.
Although I enjoyed making them, it was very time consuming.

I can see why some (most) cabs are just essentially a box with a big hole in the front.

  4.
60l is adequate for twelves with Qts of .4 or less. As for the perception of low end response, the human ear is very inaccurate; most people are about an octave low in their estimates of the frequency they're hearing. Low 'B' players who swear they're knocking down walls with 32Hz output are actually hearing the 2nd harmonic at 64Hz. Good thing, as otherwise even a Fridge wouldn't be up to 5 stringer needs.
Does that mean it's Ok for me to think that my new cabs sound good? :)

  5. Would 60 litres be classed as a 'small' cab for a 12" driver?

They are a similar size to the Aggie 12's, and I don't hear too many people complaining about a lack of low-end from those.

    But hey....
    Horses for courses!

  6. My band had been forced to take a couple of months off, but we are now back gigging again, so.....
I finally have had a chance to use the cabs as a pair, at full gigging volume, with the loudest drummer in the world.

    They performed excellently.
Plenty of lows, mids and top end.
I think it was the first gig I have played (since selling my Trace rig) that:

1). I didn't touch my EQ all night.
2). I could hear every note with equal clarity.... up close and out front!
3). I could use the bridge pick-up on my Status without it getting lost and sounding weedy.

Both my guitarist and drummer commented on how 'clear' these cabs sounded.... praise indeed.

    And the added bonus....
After the gig, I carried them out to my car one in each hand. :)

If anyone out there is thinking of building something similar.... do it!

  7.
Ive got a older type abm 2x10. In recent recording's it showed up to have a breaking up speaker at low volumes, unless i cut the bass on the amp back. Its fitted with the old blue type speaker's, any sugestion's ?
You should have bought my neo loaded ABM2x10........ :)

  8. Thanks for all the interest, the 2x10 is now sold.

The 1x15 is still up for grabs.

Don't be put off by it being a 15", it is quite a 'bright' sounding cab (due to the compact size?),
Similar(ish) to the highly regarded Trace 1153.

  9.
How are you finding them..?

FWIW, I don't think GS12's are NEO's ..if that is the implication by a post
No, the GS112's are not neo's.... part of the reason I went for the Deltalites.
The Aggie drivers weigh 12lbs, the Deltalites 5lbs.

I have only had a chance to use them in a two piece line-up, as my band has had to take a break 'till next week
.....but they are sounding great so far!

  10. I have recently built a pair of 12" cabs using the Deltalites.
Very similar to the Aggie GS112's, but with much more in the mids and top end.... (without a tweeter).... and they weigh in at only 30lbs a cab!

Someone (not me) is selling a pair of new Genuine Aguilar (Emminence) 12" drivers in the 'For Sale' section.
