Hi, My name is Tim and I've played bass for about 35 years. I started playing string bass in junior high, learning from a great teacher who's now teaching in South Africa. I wish I'd practiced more when I had him as a mentor but I was young and stupid. I've been playing off and on since then from garage rock bands to jazz combos. I've just gotten into a fun project with piano, percussion, and a great female vocalist so I am starting to think about refining my sound. I have a 70s fretless P-bass that I've had since high school and haven't changed strings for 25 years since I've always liked the sound and have no idea where I got those strings now and thinking about upgrading my amp if things continue to go well. Looking forward to checking out more of the site. I've already learned alot lurking and wanted to join and learn more. Thanks. Tim
