Total Watts

  2. Maybe I've got the wrong idea here but I've always been told that where possible you should use a power amp matched to the speaker cabs wattage exactly. So a 1000w speaker cab should be driven by a 1000w power amp. Then you should keep the power amp turned up full and control the volume with a pre amp just like you would do with a PA system only it would be a mixing desk rather than a pre amp.
  3. I've recently bought 2 Peavey 2x10 Neo cabs... they are so light I can lift them with one hand and they sound fantastic. I think the only downside to neos right now is cost. The techno jargo hurts my braaaain but I have to say I haven't noticed a problem with mid range humps but then I like my sound nice and punchy anyways
  4. Just my two penneth... I have just bought 2 peavey tour 210 Neo 2x 10 cabs. They are 800watts program at 8 ohm. They cost £439 per cab brand new Being Neo cabs they are ultra light. I think they sound incredible... when I tried them I was massively impressed - they wipe the floor with the new trace elliot stuff that I tried thats for sure!

  6. This stack is now sold to littleal subject to payment and shipping
  7. Yeah they are seperate items... basically the 1x15 is part of a stack that I have also advertised whereas the 1x12 in this ad is a combo amp that I have used primarily for rehearsal
  8. This was my amp for the practice room because it's relatively small and light but still packs a punch. The only reason I'm selling it is because I now have 2 Peavey 2 x 10 cabs loaded with neodymium magnets and are as a result ultra light. I've used this amp on stage before at gigs where stage space is at a premium and it's more than adequate for live performance. I love the old Trace Elliot gear because it sounds great and feels indestructable. The condition of this combo is first class and it has barely been used. The price reflects the quality and condition of the amp... £300. I'm more than happy to post this amp but the cost of this must be covered by the buyer.

  10. 5 - string thanks for the enquiry and sorry you can't afford it! littleal I have answered you PM
  11. Hi Guys, Thanks for the interest... A little more info in case anyone is unaware... the head is the old style with the green backlighting and is 350watts. It has a 12 band Graphic Equaliser. Prices for the stack seperately are as follows: AH350 GP12 Head £300 4x10 300 watt cab £250 1x15 300 watt cab £250 I know I'm bound to say this but the old style Trace gear is much better quality than their new amps and cabs and they sound fantastic. The prices reflect that high quality and the fact that this rig would cost the best part of a couple of grand new. I'll try and add some pictures tomorrow
  12. Hi Everyone, I have recently bought an ultra-light neo-dymimimimimimimoiunb-whatever-thingy system which means I now need to offload my old gear. I have for sale: Trace Elliot AH350 GP12 Amp Head - Condition: V.Good Trace Elliot 4 x 10 300w Carpeted Cab Condition: Good but cosmetically speaking the carpet has gone a bit bobbly and some of the colour has gone from the name plate. Trace Elliot 1 x 15 300w Carpeted Cab Condition: V.Good as I have hardly used it It sounds absolutely fantastic whether I am playing my Musicman Stingray with a retro sound for my scooter sounds band or using my Ibanez Ergodyne through a Boss ME50b loaded with Effects. Anyone who knows Trace Elliot will know that this stack was built to withstand the tests of time, war and small children. I am looking for £800 for whole lot which is about what the amp head costs new on it's own. In other words this is a bargain! I live in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and would prefer pick up but will happily courier the item at buyers cost. Will accept cash on collection or paypal if sent via courier.
