I actually just put a set of Golds on but the low E is dead so I've sent them a video to ask about getting a replacement. They are much mellower and certainly on their own sound nice (apart from the E), just wonder if they will have enough definition in a band mix. How have you found them?

I had 2 sets and both of them had really dead E strings

  2. I really regret selling my old aria bass . I sold it on here about a year ago. I can't remember to who as I cleaned up my messages awhile ago. It's was natural body with maple neck. I am based in Ireland so if want to sell it back to me just drop me a pm
if not I fully understand .just let me know how the old is.

Definitely a Fernandes Limited edition Jazz bass body. Though with an added hole for the 4th pot. The control access plate is the exact same (And unusual)

Ski jumps can't be fixed so easy. You have two options, level the frets and create a drop off in the last frets and/or frets off and level the board. Both of these I've done with great success.
Washers, shims etc won't work and heating the neck for a ski jump is not a method I've heard off.

I used heat and clamp method to try and fix the neck bow. For the ski jump I removed the last few frets etc

  6. a made in japan tokai hardpuncher (pb40) precision bass neck . nice and clean with the truss rod working 100 %, frets are great and freshly polished . I filled the neck plate holes with maple plugs , its 62.2 mm at heel , the tuner holes are 18mm, the laquer is peeling around the headstock logo which is common for these basses .
