for a long time i ran on naught but a P style rip-off. a couple of months ago, though, a friend gave me a silver Ibanez SRX 300 with active pickups and my P has just become well-stickered wall decor. no pics just yet, but they'll come.

howdy. i'm a 14 year old american kid who saw some sweet bass pics on this site, and decided to sign up. i've been playing for two years, and i currently have 2 basses: a black and white FX P-style rip off i got for 103 British Pounds on ebay, and a silver ibanez SRX 300 i got free from a friend. My Great Uncle was a bass player for nigh on 50 years, but developed arthritis in the wrist. he made a living as carpenter, so now he makes upright electric basses out of recycled wood, mostly rose and cherry wood. beautiful pieces. www.barkerbass.com . any tips, advice or other ramblings i can get from the older and more experienced?
