Hi Steve, if you wanna come to the Wirral, you can try mine but I've got somebody who is very interested. You can try my SVT IIP too, as long as you bring your amps.
I (dimly) remember some surprise airplay on pirate radio (KLM? KLF? KFC?) in Manchester during the early Eighties - I can remember how different we sounded through a car radio. Around the same time the guitarists next door neighbour said he'd heard us on Janice Long but, alas, this was never confirmed.
Once appeared on Granada Reports, which some Mancunian old-timers on here may remember (the programme, not me)
Name them. Mr Burgess. -
My old band Scorpio Rising did a session at Maida Vale for Mark Goodier that got played on Radio 1. I've heared our singles played in loads of indie clubs in the early 90's. It was weird hearing our album being played in Oxford Street HMV, then doing a gig in there and signing records.
On Steve's 'big up' there I've just had a listen and concur - terrific stuff.
Sorry, bit off topic, I know; but hell, if you can't compliment a fellow BC-er what's the world coming to, hey?
Agreed. -
"Sex on Fire" eh?.... well now.. take 3 of these a day with food, apply some cansten cream, avoid alcohol during the course of the tablets, and see me again if it hasn't cleared up in three weeks...NEXT!.....
(the Doctor is, IN. )
Superb -
Probably because they get played so f*cking often on the radio, TV, tv adverts, idiots in the pub etc etc. It gets annoying hearing the same thing over and over, especially if it's a "catchy" tune.
Personally, I heard it the first time and thought "that's another catchy tune form them, nice one". Now I can't stand it.
Every band in the world were amazing for their first 1 or 2 albums and then "sold out" or "turned commercial" or just basically got too trendy for people who consider themselves "alternative".
I bring your attention to a certain Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
Throbbing Gristle.
The Stranglers. -

I saw Level 42 in this year for the first time and they were incredible, two years later and it would be suits, stylists, expensive videos, stadiums and the end of pogoing at their gigs.
Marks' Jaydee sounded evil live.
Enjoy.
