NOW SOLD... Thanks to all those who showed an interest and/or messaged Now reduced to £255 Hi there bass fans... If you're reading this then thanks for your interest.. This bass was bought new from Dawsons Music in Manchester for my son to play in his college show. His regular bass is a Fender 70's Jazz but the music for the show was scored for 5-string. I investigated the cost of hiring a 5 string for the duration of the show but it was far more economical to buy this one new and sell on afterwards if he didn't want to keep it. It's being sold now only because he already owns a great 4 string bass and is trying to raise funds for a Fender American Special Telecaster guitar. It is in superb condition, there are no scratches at all on the body or the neck and the bass sounds awesome with a really big vintage tone. It has been cared for with a view to potentially selling it on so it really is in "as new" condition. It is just over 3 months old (receipt dated 13 January 2018) and has been used for one or two rehearsals a week until the three performances of the show at the end of March. When not being played the bass was stored and transported in a Fender hard case to prevent damage and a padded guitar stand was always used during rehearsals and performances. This bass would be great for anyone wanting to get into 5-string bass without breaking the bank. Squier are the well known "budget" arm of Fender Guitars but this bass sounds way better than its budget price suggests. Serial number shows that it was manufactured in Squier's Cort Factory in Indonesia which is a great indication of quality even at this budget price level. Included is the original box, paperwork, receipt and allen keys for truss rod adjustment etc. It will be supplied in the same Squier branded box it was sold in.
