Thank you very much, sir. The pickup is brilliant in this one, and is surprisingly versatile.
They are great pickups, and in a great bass!

That is nice, but a tad too much for me!

That is a thing of beauty - my 75 and 76 both have Di Marzios.

Tried out the BBPH in a rehearsal on friday.. through the Hiwatt DR103 and Marshall 2 x 15 it is absolutely awesome!! now then, who wants to sell me something with the same active tone?

I'm sure you are! I love the simplicity of it. I think you were right to take a 'hands off' approach.

Now that is nice!

Ah,those Kay basses! I can't believe how much people expect to get for them on ebay! I've only ever sold about four basses, and the only one I don't regret moving on was a fretless Aria SB2000. I just never got on with it. Luckily I have a wife who doesn't mind having huge amounts of bass gear around the house..... there's four basses in the lounge now!

I'd agree. To be fair, the only flats I've got are on a fearless P copy... been on for more years than I remember.
Fretless!!! Damn autocorrect!

In my defence Dunlops are pretty bright for flats but perhaps not quite bright enough.

Congrats! The PH is definitely proving to be a MASSIVE hit with BC'ers. I'll add you to the "wall of shame"
Trouble is, I may well decide one BB isn't enough!!

Enjoy, hopefully. I love mine. Going to switch back to nickel rounds from Dunlop flats though. What was I thinking!

I guess if you only think you bought it, then proper 'congratulations' should wait until we have some pics from you as proof! 😁
This is true.... Pics later!

So bass direct are saying last chance to get a BBPH? Does this mean they are the limited numbers that were stated originally?
One on eBay for £1250, I always assumed used prices would be less until a few years down the line when they are hard to buy etc
I think PMT maybe undersold the signed ones as they have put the price up from £899 to £959 for the 'normal' version.
I think I bought their last one yesterday.

Feels good..... and it wasn't even the ex's fault!

A story of divorce, storage, and a loft full of stuff that buried them... They've been back for an hour..... I think new strings may be required!

Its an Eastwood. It looks to be very similar to the original Shergold, but then it was built after getting the specs off one of Peter Hook's basses . I believe he has been using the Eastwood prototype live.

The HiwattDR103 is one of two (plus a clone)! The bass is tuned an octave lower than a guitar.

I left out the Trace Elliot 1x15 and the HH 1x15 combo....and the Marshall 2x15......
