  1. Thanks to y' All. Roger thank you that is exactly what I needed to know, so I've been out to try a couple. Yes the hard case fits width ways at the very back of the Octavia (both hatch and estate) boot where it doesn't fit in most other cars. That's down to a bit of overhang behind the rear wheels and little/no obstruction of the pockets behind the wheel arches. Anybody got any other candidates please?
  2. What are your current recommendations for a car that will cope with a Gator hard case that's 1120 x 440mm? Now that I have a Gator case for my Junior Jet shortscale it doesn't fit in my boot! I don't want to have to leave it on the back seat. All ideas welcome
  3. Update Eventually I contacted Gator support and they suggested several of theirs would fit. I went with the Jaguar style guitar case that was widely available. With the addition of a couple of small blocks of foam its a perfect fit so I'm very happy. But Whoops! I now discover that it won't fit the boot of my car that I thought was enormous. Going to start a new thread for current car recommendations that will cope with a case that's 1120 x 440mm. Mike
  4. Thanks Aidan That's just the type I was looking for, but ................ Unfortunately its 19mm too short
  5. Many Thanks again. Sorry that's outside the budget for this case and the link doesn't give any dimensions. Gretsch have now suggested the G2168 Jet Baritone/Junior Jet Bass Gig Bag - but can't find one in the UK and so far none available until 2019! Any other suggestions please?
  6. Thanks but its no go: "This case is only designed to fit the G5442 series off bass guitars. It is not designed to fit any other bass guitars." Any other suggestions please?
  7. Thanks I'll check that one out.
  8. Has anyone found a case that would fit a SS Gretsch Junior Jet? Its a great little bass but I cannot find anything that will fit its short scale. I've emailed Gretsch and all the obvious manufacturers and UK retailers. When it first came out there were some postings in US suggesting you should use a standard (Fender?) guitar case - but which one??? Thanks
