Can’t afford a tube amp so what is the warmest and closest class d amp to a valve head?
-
It’s happening at really low volumes so don’t think it’s a high signal problem. I’ve stopped using the amp.
thanks for your suggestion.

It’s actually happening at low volume so a bit of a mystery.

I'm experiencing signal break up on my TC Electronic RH750.
I've checked the gain setting isn't too high and have no effects selected on the amp.
I switch to another amp and it goes away so can't be the cab or the bass.
It sounds like a distortion that not part of the bass signal ie, not like a regular dialled in distortion.
Any ideas out there?

Doesn’t really answer the thread but I had a Status Series 2000 in the late 80s and I was gutted when I found out that the bass player in Bros was using one to mime along with. It was however awesome.

If you are still tempted, the American Performer is great for ex Jazz bass players. It’s got a jazz bass pickup on the bridge and if used with the Mustang pickup it sounds fantastic,

SOLD!! Price drop was £550 now £405!!! Fender Modern Player Jazz Bass 2014. Black Satin finish, dual humbuckers and a maple neck. Massive versatility in tone as the 4 pickups can be used individually or in unison. The condition is good but there are a few marks on it from use over the years - there are a couple of dents above the bridge and on the back. Comes with a quality hard case. Pickup only - I am in Ealing in West London.
