1. SALE PENDING! Thanks to you all for your interest... I'll keep you posted.
 2.
Hi, Really interested in your Spector - I don't know much about these basses but it looks the business and I need a 5. Could you give me a few specs please (active? long scale? Roughly when made?) cheers, Greg
PM Sent.
 3.
It's an awesome bass - Stunning punchy sound, comfortable as anything, and abosolutely stunning to look at. The neck was the basis for my Shuker build. Also, for what it's worth, it's not an LX, it pre-dates those particular models and actually has a SOLID maple body, rather than the veneer that the LX's have (an in my, probably uninformed opinon...) is probably a better model. For a ball park guide on what a cracking price for this bass, check out the price this LX went for: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2384 You can't go wrong - Added in that Pablo is a top bloke to deal with too. And the middle picture has my duvet cover in the background! Rich
Rich, thank you very much for your comments and for adding that extra info. To be honest, I know I'm going to regret selling this bass but at the moment I'm not playing it much and also have other things in mind.
 4. Well guys, I have decided to offer for sale my Spector 5 LX... it's not being played much these days and it's a shame having it laying around. It's been my main bass for a while but have moved to another band and don't need a 5 strings anymore. The bass is in excellent condition apart from two small dings on the lower horn, but to be honest, have been properly reapired and they are hardly noticable (can provide picture on request). This bass is a joy to play, very versatile and comfortable. Comes with Hard case and a nearly new set of Elixir strings installed. I'm looking for £600. Have a look at the pictures: I'm living Hove and you are more than welcome to come and try it. Feel free to check my Feedback: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=375
 5. I've heard about this basses before, they are quite popular amongst Spanish bass players... I'm also member of the Guitarramania Forum (Spain) and people talk really well about them... If you check Windmill's site Musicians section you'll see this guy: Charlie Moreno, he's got he's own custom model, "Windforce Charlie Moreno". Check his YouTube site and judge the bass (...and the player!) by yourself: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user...egroove&p=r
 6. Up for sale is my "Diago" pedalboard, the exact model is the "Showman".... Here you've got the link to Diago's site so you can check all the features and dimensions: http://www.diago.co.uk/pedal-boards/pedal-...s/overview.html As you'll see in the pictures, the pedalboard is in mint condition as it's been mainly sitting around not being used much. The only thing is that the Diago logo plate is missing but otherwise is in excellent condition. They for £107 postage included... I'm looking for £60 postage included too... Anyone interested?... PM Me! PS- Feel free to check my Feedback Thread
 7.
It's on the high side, but not massively unreasonable. Without more info it's difficult to tell (i.e. how good is it?) but I'd go for £1100.
Well, I also think that is a bit overpriced but as we all know, buying from a shop is always more expensive than Ebay or buying directly from someone...This bass is being sold at The Gallery (London)... To be honest, after a few experiences with people claiming to sell original vintage Fender Basses and then turning out to have been refinished, parts replaced... not sure if this is right move. I don't know but right now I'm thinking that maybe, it would be better to buy it directly from a well known shop... Yes, you end up paying a bit more money but if anything goes wrong you've got their support. Here is the link: http://www.thebassgallery.com/fenderpbass73.html As you can see it's not in great condition but it has been out there being played for 34 years!
 8. Hello guys! It's been a while since I decided to go after a 70's Fender P bass but haven't found the right one yet. Now I have seen a '73 Fender that is selling for £1300, it's all 100% original/genuine, no parts have been replaced and the finish it's the original... What do you think of the price? Thanks!
 9.
Strange - I called Mike earlier and he said fan noise was perfectly normal - that it's a variable system that speeds up and slows down depending on how much ventilation's needed.
I don't know what to tell you but, as I said on my previous post, my SVT 4Pro works fine and doesn't make any noise.
 10. I've got an Amgeg SVT 4Pro that was also converted by Mike from Panic Music and I can tell you that the fan doesn't make any noise at all... I can not tell you for sure if there is something wrong with yours but mine doesn't make any whirring/humming noise. I suggest you give them a call and let them know about this problem.
 11.
I know it's been mentioned already, but I recommend one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1997-FENDER-PRECISIO...bayphotohosting I've got a similar one and you get more options than using just P or J. They're comfortable to play as well. Personally I just can't get used to the look of the Lakland basses- the round bridge looks a bit weird to me (but then so does anything that's not a Fender ) Having said that, if it's P or J my vote would go to the precision. It's just the classic sound for all those old tunes IMO. Jo
Do you guys know if on this Fender model the P pickup is in the exactly same placement as on a regular P bass?

 13.
I've purchased many things from there! Great service! The last time I bought an American Precision which sucked and I've send them an email that I want to return it and they arranged the whole thing and UPS drop by my place and pick it up and when it arrived back to musicstore I got a full refund!
I have also bought many things from them and they offer a great service. Not long ago I bought from them a Fender Precision and after two weeks I had the chance to buy '77 Jazz bass for a good priece. I told them I wanted to return it and they arrange with UPS to come and pick it up, didn't have to pay anything and got a full refund straight away... Of course I bought the '78 Jazz bass instead.
 14. I've had two bad experiences with them in a 4 month period: 1- When I sold my EBS Fafner and I sent it to Spain: The amp was mounted on a hard rack unit, then wrapped with bouble wrap and then packed in a box. Well, delivery time took 5 more days than the service I had pay for and when it got there the box was a completly mess, it was clear that had been dropped, it was falling apart and they had solved the problem with gaffer tape everywhere. When the guy open the parcel, everything look fine but when he was going to try it he noticed something on the inside of the amp was loose. He checeked the amp and the transformer was completly free, the screw that holds it was broken and also the simulate valve light had been destroyed completly. Of course when I talked to Parcelforce they made imposible for me to claim anything back... Then, the buyer, had it checked by an EBS dealer to make sure of the extent of the damge and, luckily enough, the repair wasn't very serious and it ended up on a 60 euros repair.... 2- Bass Rockstand: I bought this stand from Ebay two weeks ago and the seller send it by Parcelforce 24 hours.... guess what? Delivery took 72 hours! I was at home at all times the delivery day and noone came, then I tracked the parcel and for my surprise, it said "delivery attempted". Then, it was automatically redelivered on the next day but, again the parcel did not arrived. unreliabl On the third day it arrived but at 6.45pm.. funnily enough their delivery hours are till 6 pm. Now, if you ask for my opinion about Parcelforce at least two words come to my mind (...no, no, not the ones you are thinking, I don't want to be rude) they are Useless and Unreliable.
 15.
I have a 4PRO that was converted by Mike at Panic (very handy as I live very near him). I agree that he does not recommend using a step down transformer for a number of reasons - if you want the reasons then give him a bell, but I trust his advice. The transformer you have in the 6PRO *should* be multitap, which means you don't need a new transformer, but if it's anything like my 4PRO, then there is some changes needed to the internal circuit breaker also. Gonna cost you about £120 or so, but better and safer than carrying around a great weight of a transformer.
I also have an Ampeg SVT 4Pro, which I bought from the United States, and I used a transformer for a while but carrying it around was a nightmare, it was quite heavy! It's ok if you do not go out and play often but not if you gig or rehearse with your band quite regularly...I ended up having it converted by Mike at Panic Music a while ago. Sure it's going to cost you a bit more money than buying a transformer but most of the Ampeg amps use the Multitap system and they are ready to be converted into new voltage. Apart from having to carry the transformer everywhere they are not a 100% reliable and it something goes wrong with it you'll endup frying the power amp section and that repair is really expensive! I would highly recommend you to spend a bit more money convert the amp instead of using a transformer, it's worht every penny... Panic Music are an Authorized Ampeg Technichal Service and they are very good, they did mine in 8 days and I haven't had any problems at all and it something goes wrong it's under warranty. Give them a call and speak to Mike.
