The Duncan is basically a humbucker ,they say "hum-cancelling". The 2 joined wires mean it's wired in series, stacked pickups tend to lose a bit output and series wired stops it losing more.
@BassBunny is correct red is hot.
OK, thanks, gonna do it today, let you know if it's a success!

Well if that is how it was wired previously, I'd give it a go.
Do you know it will actually fit as I don't didn't think they were standard Fender size. Only reason I ask is I've got 3 Bass Collection 5 strings and want to change the pickups on one and the only pickups I can find that fit are Delano, which I don't particularly like.
Yes, they fit fine, I know someone who has put these in to their Bass Collection as well.

Yes, I assume they are joined for a reason. Did you not buy it new?'

I would say the red on on the SD goes where the white of the Bass Collection goes and the screen is the same in both cases.
So the ones that are sealed leave as is?

Hello,
I have a stacked Seymour Duncan Bass Lines STK - J2B Pick up that I want to replace the existing J bass pick up with at the bridge, I have no idea what I'm supposed to be soldering where, anybody with a bass collection active know what to do?
The circled yellow wire is I assume the J bass pick up wiring. But the J2B has completely different looking wires so I've no idea what I'm doing !
Cheers.

Hi,
I am having a problem onstage in that the DI out is sending a very very weak signal to the desk that is practically unusable say's the sound guy. I found out that the output is 'pre' eq, I'm not great with this kind of thing so any advice would be appreciated!
I was also using a V amp pro pre amp which when taken from it's DI, was perfectly fine, unfortunately that unit died a death so I had to use the DI from the Hartke, which is when we discovered this issue.

Hello,
I am considering this particular amp and was wondering if the 'preamp out' socket can be used to go into a powered wedge monitor to be placed near the guitarist, because as we all know, they can never hear enough bass!
Also, can anyone recommend this amp or another in a similar size and range that has this type of output (If it can be used in this way) or a line out separate from the DI.
Thanks!

You could also try the effects return.
[/quote] So Straight into the effects return from the keyboard output and nothing else? -
It has a passive and an active, has a line in as well but not sure what that does..
Thanks. -
Hello,
I have a Trace Elliot Series 6 1215 200W Combo,
I was wondering which input is ok to plug in a basic keyboard using the line out from the keyboard? Won't be using it simultaneously with bass guitar, just now and then when I come off bass for the odd part.
Thanks!
