I gave up on 'normal' music shops for this very reason.

You can hardly hear a note that you're playing over the barrage of noise from guitarists or bass slap merchants, and the instruments are never set up, they're just taken out of the boxes and put on display.

I only ever shop at the Gallery in Camden, even though it means a day out to London. The service there is second to none, they go out of their way to help you.

I've had this for just a couple of months, but I just tried a Warwick Jonas Hellborg 2x12, and it's closer than anything to my ideal.

I'd be looking for about £600 for this, and personal collection only, I work in Coventry so I'm quite central.

be delivered in a few weeks, if I have to make it up for you, it is
about 3~4 months delivery time. Currently I have one bass available
for immediate delivery (which is rare), it is a MOuse 30 fretted with
maple top and f-hole.

I'm about to order a new Status, so it will be after Christmas now before I order one.

What sort of price for the Berg ?.
