    +1

    See if any of your bass friends have one of these so you can try it out, it cops the Ampeg tone perfectly.
    Its also quite a bit less then the preamp.

  2. Pino Palladino Custom Shop but strung with Rounds.
    And a Macca Rickenbacker for backup.

    Bi-amp:
    Aguilar DB751 --> Aguilar DB810.
    Mesa/Boogie 400+ --> Aguilar DB412.

    My Board would consist of every MXR bass pedal, a cryababy and a tuner.

    Including an P/J custom shop Jag!

  4. Not sure if it was the same model but I used a BOSS Metal-zone
    once and it sounded alright. Obviously there was quite a large
    low-end loss, but it sounded like a synthy fuzz. If you do give it
    a go don't push the volume up to much, especially at first.

    I may be wrong but were not talking Gospel bassist good??? I take it he doesnt slap.[/quote]

    I never got what the big deal about Wolstenhome is, his playing style really just consists of fast picking and a rack full of effects.
    Though fair play to him, it fits in with the rest of the band very well and Hysteria alone has probably encouraged a lot of youngsters
    to start playing.

    That's the one I'm keeping tabs on aswell.
    Especially with the USB connection for *fingers crossed* near unlimited sounds.
