  1. Also the string tree is closer to the nut than on a standard tele head stock and although it’s a little blurry does that head shape looks like it has a slight point at the bottom of the round end. Is it a Fender? IMG_2995.thumb.png.ae2643e9feb1ec66511a92d358f194ba.png

  2. yeah i know , i smelt a electrical burning smell for a couple of seconds before it stoped , sent it to the fender repair agent. He said there was a blown power tube , and a blown fuse. Maybe there was more to it than that, and i just didn't get all the details . Wasn't the main reason i sold it anyway. It was just too much rig for the gigs.

    very comfortable to play

black on black is cool to me.

sounds similar to my ray classic, but less extreme eq actually making it more manageable. Had the classic awhile now and struggle at home to tame the eq. Probably should play it more in the band context. Also, my right forearm sticks to the slab body on the classic . Anyone else find that?

  4.  just copied your settings and had a play , fender sting bass , swapping between the rumble v3 210 and the ash down neo 210. the fender is a brighter and a fraction louder. ie ashdown a bit more bottom end.  I'm also trying to find the time to get to the store to try a abm 115 compact , take my neo 210 to compare , but the suspected slight better sound of the 115 maybe not worth the extra weight.  cheers

  5. I had two of those cabs at the same time as two v3 rumble 210 cabs.Comparing those two , from memory the sounds were slightly different with the 15s being more low mid focused, but a slight amp eq adjustment and things could be turned the other way around. I currently have a Ashdown pro neo210 and a v3 rumble 210. I’ll do a quick A/B on those two cabs later today with a Abm 600 and let you know. What are your input gain and master volume knobs  set to normally? Not the exact comparison you wanted I know, but hope it helps.

  6. I’m very happy with my abm 600 iv, one reason Is the new EQ, this 9 Band. seems so different to the previous model going from memory I found the previous model always a little hard to get a good modern bright sound out of, not so of this new one but this is going by memory. Does anyone else also find this?

    What do you mean… 2 x 410 not modular enough?? 😂

Seriously though, I think you’re right and can’t work out why they’ve done it that way… especially when they’ve made lots of 8ohm and 16ohm cabs previously.

I guess the 810 covers it, but two 410s is my preference

  8. While not having had the cx 410, I did own two cx 210s. I thought they were good value for the money and put them on a par to the rumble cabs. The spray on texture finish seemed quite fragile. Had them under a old GK 800rb , sounded ok .

Awaitng the arrival of the new iv gk cabs at the local store. If Gk says it’s the best cab they have built I’m interested.

    hope that helps a bit
