  1. Thought I'd add 'List of Shame' to the proceedings (memory and past substance abuse permitting!) '78 Precision (USA) 70s Rickenbacker 4000 (single p/u, not stereo) Tokai Jazz bass Squier precision (I still shudder at the thought of that one) Avon SG copy Yamaha RBX460 (still own, gigged and recorded) Fender Precision (USA, still own) I'm awaiting delivery of a Prose bass (twin humbucker) I'm pretty sure there was a Shaftsbury somewhere in there too back in the dim and distant past but I'm bu**ered if I can remember model, possibly a really horrible Tele bass copy, you know the one cream paint job action like a steel guitar.
  2. Many thanks, now I can tell my brother what I want for my birthday, LOL
  3. Hey ho me hearties, does anyone know where I can get plans for a basic 1X15 cab? I need it for use with my old Kelly 50 watt head and my old Marshall cab is just to darn big to lug around. I don't want to just knock up a box and whack a speaker in it, but I dont need crossovers or anything fancy like that, just a solid cab to do the job in pubs or small venues. Many thanks in advance

    Hi y'all

Just a quick intro to me and my world! I've been playing bass since I was knee-high to a grasshopper and have run the gamut of equipment from Woolworths type balsa wood and fence wire basses to Rickenbacker 4001. My current set up comprises of a Precision (USA of course), a Yamaha P/J bass and a Carlsboro 150 head running through a vintage Marshall cab. I also have a vintage Vox amp, a Kelly all valve 50 watt head, a couple of Marshall g***ar combos and various effect pedals. I've finally realised I'm probably not going to make my fortune as a musician now, so I'm looking to put together a pub-rock type band just to keep playing live and having fun.
