Hi JapanAxe, apologies for taking so long to reply. The bass is 5.0 KG on my bathroom scales. I'm not sure who made the replacement pickup. Joseph makes his own pickups and when we were doing the work we discussed replacing the existing pickup with one of his, but the pickup was already of such a standard that replacing it really wouldn't have been worth it. Hi all, I have for sale, a superb 1977 fretless Fender Precision Bass. Ash body with a burgundy/deep cherry finish. It features a maple neck in with very little to no wear. (See photos) I have modified the bass with -optional- through body strings, new volume and tone pots. I also replaced the scratch plate screws. This work was completed by master luthier Joseph Kaye ([url="http://www.josephkayeguitars.com"]http://www.josephkayeguitars.com[/url]) It has an upgraded P-Bass pickup. This Bass has unparalleled tone and great feel, its a real players Bass Guitar. I have since moved to Upright Bass and I'm just not playing this enough to justify keeping it. The Bass comes in a 1970s case.
