  1. I have this wonderful little amp for sale, reason being I need some money to fund an Orange Terror Bass. Bought new for 200 quid about 3 or 4 years ago, in pretty much new condition with a little bit of wear. Only problem is it cuts out at very low volume due to a wire not soldered properly to the input jack. Not a hard fix, just open it up and resolder. Crate footsitch for distortion channel/octaver included. Has a built in tuner and CD input. A solid little combo that's great for home practice/rehearsing, maybe even small venues. It's a pretty loud 50 watts. Here's some specs:

Crate BT50: 50W and a 12" bass driver. 2 channels: a distortion channel with gain, shape, and level controls; and a clean channel with level, 4-band EQ, and an octave switch with level for boosting bottom end. It includes the CSF2 2-button footswitch for switching channels and kicking in the octave switch from the floor. Limiter, chromatic tuner, headphone jack, and CD inputs are also incorporated.
Crate BT50 The Front Panel: INPUT: GAIN: SHAPE: Distortion channel. LEVEL: CHANNEL SWITCH: When using the footswitch: when this button is in the out position, the Clean channel is always active, and the footswitch turns the Distortion channel on and off, allowing you a blend of both channels. LEVEL: output level of the Clean channel, and as part of the Octave level control
NOTE: employs an internal noise gate to keep residual noise to a minimum. Regardless of which channel is selected, the Clean channel's Level control (#6) must be turned up above "0" in order for the noise gate to trigger. LOW: LOW MID: HIGH MID: HIGH: OCTAVE: MASTER: CD INPUT: HEADPHONES: POWER: ELECTRONIC TUNER (top panel): constant, "real-time" tuning. The tuner is fully chromatic.
The Rear Panel (not shown): AC LINE CORD: FOOTSWITCH: Crate CFP-2 for remote control of the channel selection/"blend" and octave on/off.
EXTERNAL SPEAKER: internal speaker is disconnected when the external speaker jack is used.

  2. I'm looking for places that sell Spector hard cases that ship to Cardiff/South Wales, as my hard case has seen better days. Does anybody know of any shops/establishments that do so?

P.S. Please don't offer to sell me a case if you have one. I really appreciate the offer if you do, but I don't have the money for it at the moment, so you would be wasting your time. sorry!

  3. Once I get my Spector fixed, I'll be saving up for a new rig. I would be using it for small/medium sized gigs and band practice. I have a Renault Megane at hand, so transport isn't really a problem. I've been particularly interested in Eden lately, more specifically the Nemesis EN400 and matching 4x10 cab. Anyone have any opinions on this specific combination? Would it suit metal/rock/reggae (or pretty much any genre)? How versatile are they? Would it suit the natural tone of my Spector? I've heard a while ago that they're used a lot by doom/black metal bands, as they can produce a really strong low end rumble that suits the genre, anyone have any confirmation on this?

There is an EN400 at my local with a 2x10 cab, that I'm thinking about checking out. But before I do, I'd some reviews on the head and Eden in general really. Thanks for all he people who reply!

P.S. Please don't reply saying I should by this Aguilar rig or that Ampeg head, I don't mean to cause offense or seem rude, but I just can't afford any of that.

  4. Hey guys, relatively new member here (I registered a while back, but only got around to visiting now).

after all the reviews I've read about Blue Steels, I'd quite like to give them a whirl. The only problem is, I can't find any. Does anyone know anywhere in the UK where I can buy them (and can get them delivered to South Wales)?

Also, any views on these strings would be a great addition.

    Thanks guys!
