I'd just like to add that although the guys in the band are pros, I don't want anyone to be put off if they're not. I'd take a newbie with energy and attitude over a tired, cynical pro 8 days a week.

Thanks for the tip, OldGit! We're all in our 20s, and we're all pro musicians. This band is my top priority, though I also do other gigs. Like I said, we've got an album almost done. I'd like to get the band to the point where I'm earning my entire living off it. The most important thing for me is to make records I'm really proud of and play killer live shows. My current business plan is to stay independent and self-release our music, but I'm not against getting signed if it makes sense further down the road... If record companies are even signing new bands by then.
