  1. Someone was looking for a TE logo, can't find the thread now, anyway see link below if you want a couple of TE logos, one 'old-school' and one modern'ish ;-) There are 240 dpi & 300 dpi so will print hi-res at full size. Easy to get stickers printed and then stick those to 'plasticard' and remount missing badges etc etc.

  3. Not sure what would work, or, seeing as MIDI is a cross-platform protocol 'anything' would work....anyway, I'm looking for a similar device :)

Anyone have one they want to shift? Anyone used one and willing to share their thoughts?

    :)

    So... Birch or maple..?
    [/quote]

Maple for bass...birch for shells....I do miss my old Yamaha (birch).

Actually...before I get the whole can of worms that is the 'maple/rosewood' diatribe....I'm going on 'looks' only. My BB404 sounds great with it's sleek rosewood board :)

  5. Hi you wondrous and knowledgeable people you (too much, OK, I'll tone it down).....I've had a look-see online and on the forum, done a few searches and turned up nothing except a description from the blue-book site on what the bass looks like.

Can anyone shed any light on what these are like? Anyone ever owned one?

    Brief specs are:
Ash carved top with rosewood fingerboard, 24-frets, one MBH-4 bass humbucker pickup, active treble, middle and bass controls, coil tap switch, bypass switch, matte chrome hardware, available in See-Through Blue or Stained Natural finish, mfg. 1999 only and Made in Korea.

NB - The closest I have found to the overall shape, spec etc is the IGB 65. However the bass I am interested in is in a trans-blue finish.

  6. Just my 2 cents worth....having owned Sennheiser HD25's and AKG550's I can recommend 'Superlux' (get them at Thomann, where they are 'super-cheap'). Am currently using the HD-669 'studio monitors' for bass which are fully closed-back and the HD-681 Evo via a headphone amp from my Linn Kairn/LK280 for anything 'HiFi'. If you just google the name 'Superlux-headphones' you will see the rather good reviews on line from 'head-fi' etc etc. Superlux seem to avoid all that expensive R&D budget by simply making their headphones along the specs of other well known brands with very similar frequency responses.

I like the fact that the HD-681 EVO's also came with an extra set of velour type pads as well as two cable lengths (1m and 3m) and a bag, the cable detaches via 3.5mm jack at the left ear pad. They also have 50mm drivers and after a little 'burn-in' time, sound even better.

  7. Hi, an ex-drummer (30 + years) just recently taken up the bass and enjoying it, long time 'lurker and reader' here on BC. Started with an RBX260 'gifted' to me by a friend (thanks Mark W...I'm sure he lurks on here somehwere).

Having firmly committed to the love of the instrument I have also acquired a Yammy BB404 fretless which I do love and also (yesterday) did the deal on the Trans-Blue ATK300 in the 'for-sale' section here on BC.

I have a little Kustom 15w practice amp (also gifted by Mark W...thanks Mark), as well as a grunty little Trace Elliot BLX80. Only a single pedal (Zoom B1on) which just seemed too good to pass up on at Thomann. My next purchase will probably be a 'Stinger' pre-amp for the BB404 from David at 'Probass'.

Thoroughly enjoying exploring all those bass-lines I have loved over the years :)

    Anyway...hello to one and all...
