1. Nice rig too ! Could you compare the neo speakers with the other PJBs ? I was afraid of those little speakers before buying but once tested with my Sandberg (the one in the first videos) tuned one step lower, it was like the combo didn't care how low you're tuned ! Sounding clean no matter what I wish I could have tried with PJB extension cabs, but with a 12" Ampeg cab added, it was a really good match. A bit more oomph like with classical setups, but still a lot of clarity
2. Afraid of that great sounding amp ? Chicken, chicken ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhRUe-gz690
3. And for those who would like a JB sound to have a better idea, here is an example of the amp with my beloved Yamaha SBV-J1 on that amp :
4. Well, people seem to be afraid of getting a great sounding amp !
5. ***UPDATE 2012-12-15*** It's sold ********************************* Hi guys, just checking if it could get your attention from the other side of the pond since I live in southern France. The combo was barely used / transported, no bumps to declare. It only crackles when turning the volume pot (so not when playing !), otherwise, it performs brilliantly. If I weren't so f***ing broke, I'd keep it. I only used it for 3 gigs, never in rehearsals since I always played on the amps which were already there, or on the PA. Otherwise, it's only been played at home like once every 2 months (I pretty much always play unplugged when at home). How does it sound ? Well, here it is (check the youtube pages for the setup) And more videos here And here, a buddy from our french forum Onlybass, playing my bass, my amp, on my couch The room was quite empty, so there was some reverb, but it was still the cleanest sounding of the amps during that bassday. For pics and other info, I made a huuuuuge review here : http://forum.onlybas...-jones-six-pak/ Or the same google translated version of the review The price : 1400€ (1166£ to today's exchange rates). You can send me a PM to contact me, we'll figure it out for the shipping I'd also be open for a trade with a little combo (ideally a Tech21 Landmark 120) + money. I'm not interested in another expensive combo since I need money first and foremost ! Thanks for your attention Cheers !

9. Hi ! After more than 4 years without a gig, I have finally joined a band that has a gig potential ! I couldn't really describe the genre, but it's a mix of rock, funk, jazz and electro. Best for you is to listen to the demos on our myspace page : http://www.myspace.com/scrubbersmusic But if you're rather a facebook user, you can check : http://www.facebook.com/pages/Scrubbers/67417212503 I didn't record the bass parts you can hear on the myspace, but I lay my personal touch here and there Here are some videos my girlfriend made with her cellphone. The sound is pretty good considering it's a cellphone, but it evens dynamics and most of my ghost notes don't stand out (it's a bit better when listened loud). Please consider it's my first gig in more than 4 years and I joined the band 3 weeks before the gig, so there are some mistakes here and there. I also know I'm stuck on stage The concert was at "Le Baby", in Marseille, France, on march 31st 2009. My setup was pretty simple : - my beloved Sandberg Custom Shop - my Phil Jones Six-Pak with an Ampeg 12' extension - my jack (stage was too small so I couldn't use my pedalboard). I didn't use any DI nor Mic, what you're hearing is the sound from the amp "Mother" : "Sorry" : "Come Enjoy" Note : I usually have lots of distortion on this song but I didn't have room enough for my pedalboard. "Narcotic Flower" : Very short clip, I guess my GF wanted to try before recording Please tell me what you think of the band and the gig

I love France, but never been to Marseille. I hear the music scene is amazing, a great melting pot.
Some bands are becoming quite big (at least in France) like Dagoba, Eths, Sonny Red (these are metal bands)
LOL, nice intro Welcome Guillaume (another one!)
Thanks Do you mean my friend Guiguite is on board too ? ***EDIT*** Yes, it's him ! I need to get some money to come to London and visit him
14. Errrr, well I'd rather like you to speak in english, then I can understand (Do you use one of those translators that are used to translate manuals of chinese devices ?!! )
15. Hi, I'm a 28yo frog bassist (in Marseille, France), usually having french bass forums as pond (forum.onlybass.com is my main jumping area) I've been playing bass for about 13 years now, in cover bands and also in a metal band. I plan getting this metal band up again on of these days and I would also like to get a funk-rock band on my own since I got a lot of funky slapping parts that can't be used in a metal context Anyway, I'd be glad to discuss here and why not meet some english members if you come in France or if you use msn Thanks for your attention Guillaume
