Cheers HowieBass that's what I thought but wanted to check before I went all surgeon on it.

Hi all first time posting, hope you can help I have a Jap Fender Jazz 60's reissue jazz bass. The one with an over body ground wire to the bridge from the bridge pick up and a plate at the bottom of the control panel. My problem is that one of the split coil uprights that the tone knob sits on has snapped off so I am taking the opportunity to upgrade the pots and general wiring. Looking at the pots they all are rated at 250k and the cap stated 473k on it. I have been looking at wiring harnesses with cts pots which are rated at 500k on eBay and if an increase from 250k to 500k would be a no no. Should I repair like for like? I must say that I like the overall sound of the bass as is. Hope you can help Cheers
