Only been playing about 3 years but reckon on about 100 songs currently which includes 42 I learnt for a band I played one gig with last summer and another 45 or so for my current band with a few more which I have learnt just because I wanted to.

Hi Paul. In Suffolk as well, in Bury St Edmunds. What venues are you playing in Ipswich? We are just starting to get in to some Ipswich pubs - playing at The Plough next month..

Hi sorry this was sold a while ago. I had forgotten all about this ad to be honest!!!

Saxon next weekend in Cambridge and then Chantel Mcgregor, supported by the splendid Hollowstar, at The Apex Bury St Edmunds at the end of March.

Jazz: Dave Holland Quintet - Prime Directive
Rock: Alter Bridge - Black Bird
Plus many others....

For me, it has to be The Smiths. Special mentions to earlier influences The Specials and The Stranglers. But The Smiths were everything to me at the time.

Alter Bridge playing with the Parallax Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall last week. I am sure it was awesome BUT the sound where I was sitting (quite high up in the rausing circle) was so indistinct and muddy that it really detracted from the show. Could barely hear Mark Tremonti's guitar. I am assuming that the acoustics in the hall were to blame but who knows and a real shame as the sound from the band plus 50 piece orchestra should have been immense. The good thing is that it was all filmed so I can look forward to the DVD when it comes out to hear what I missed!!

Managed to bag myself a ticket for Alter Bridge at the Royal Albert Hall next Tuesday. Should be awesome - playing with a 50 piece orchestra.

Bugger, sorry. I guess unsurprisingly he has already found another home for it. Good luck with your search! -

As for price on a used VM? I sold my Squier VM Jazz last month for £230. If you shop around tho you might well find one for under £200. I think I picked mine up at a bargain £180.

For the money that looks great! Could just be something like a Mighty Mite neck with the headstock sprayed to match the body and then the decal applied. Any idea what pick-ups it has?
-
Just this one. Although not strictly 100% Fender!

Of course, you could go and buy a new soldering iron! The one I use cost me £13.

Just re-read the original post and saw the bit about being skint!! Just ignore me!! -

Imperial sizes maybe. i recently had to buy a set of imperial size keys for the saddle screws on an American string-through bridge. The key for the saddle screws also fits the control knob retaining screws. Couldnt say about the truss rod key but there is a good chance it is the same problem.
