  1. Ah yes, yamaha rbx something or other as a first bass, hohner stick bass and headless, squire vintage modified 4 & 5 strings, Warwick corvette 4 and $$ 5 string and now MM sterling 5. All the while my 2 eq 4 string MM monster laughed at then all. I even tried to sell him 3 times but couldn't let him go!

  2. Been on here for a couple of weeks and thought I would introduce myself.

Have been playing for 25 years in bands with names such as Between worlds, the last taxi, the underdogs and played London loads, recorded with Nick Tauber and now currently residing in a band called Café Continental www.theccband.co.uk and loving it. First gig in a couple of weeks time!

Played peavey and Ashdown rigs but now have a GK 1001rb and 1x15 and 4x10 hartke which kicks ass.

Had a few basses hohners, yamahas, fender squires, warwicks but now use my 4 & 5 string stingrays.

    Well, that's me!!

  3. Well I have taken delivery of the rig and I have to say it sounds awesome. No noticeable low end flap at all. My only question is should I use each amp output into each cab or one output into one cab and then use the extension output of the one cab into the other? Sorry for the lame ass newbie questions.

  4. Hi, just bought a new rig after 15 years: GK1001rb11 with hartke xl 15 and 4 x 10 cabs. Can I get some pointers on using these new speak on cables and cam I use a traditional 1/4" jack in the centre hole??!!

  5. Thanks for your help. I have a lot of learning to do e.g. Wiring up cabs, filtering horn frequencies and other things. It was all so simple with my Ashdown combo! These new fangled speakon cables are even worrying me!! I am sure I will get it by furiously browsing bass chat for answers!

    Thanks again.

  6. Hi, I recently let the smoke out of my asdown abm c115 and have purchased a GK 1001rb head, a hartke 200 watt 8ohm 15" and a 400 watt 4.5xl 4x10". Does this all add up with regards to ohms and wattage?

    Any advice greatly received.
