1.
Ooh I got really excited for a second then! If it had been the maple neck version I would have had it in a hearbeat
Hey Hiram - sorry to disappoint ( especially as by my calculations you are 100% not to be messed with!!)
 2. I have decided to sell one jewels of my collection that is this magnificent MM STINGRAY 20th anniversary. In great condition, very very minor ding and needs a good clean and set up. I'm sure you guys will know what you are looking at but here is a little info. 20th Anniversary Bass. Production year 1996 only. Serial Number 01810. From The Musicman site: Total of 1246 Anniversary Basses made. With regards to the necks, 713 were Maple, 477 Rosewood, 21 lined fretless, and 35 unlined fretless. No records kept concerning the type of wood used for veneer…flame v quilt Maple. (Per EB). This model introduced the down-sized bridge on Sting Ray Basses. (Per EB). Ash body with various figured Maple tops. Serial located on bridge. Tort PGs glued to body only. Solid bridge saddles. Capstan wheel truss adjustment. 3 Band EQ only. No control plate. Rear mounted electronics. Old style neck plate logo (recessed). In brief, a very beautiful bass £1350.00 ( will consider sensible offers) To be completely Transparent: Whilst it is in very good condition - it could so with a good clean and set up as it hasn't been played for a long time and to my knowledge has never been gigged. I did not buy ths new so I do not know the full history ( although the bloke I bought it from worked for Aston Martin and assured me it was not a gigging bass) Some of the chrome work ( tuners / bridge ) could do with a good clean - As could the neck but I don't have the correct cleaning materials / oils etc so I would rather leave it alone that muck about with it - a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. There is one tiny 1mm blemish on the back next to the battery cover - I have tried to pick it out on the photos. I do not have the original Ltd edition case, nor can I get hold of one ( have written to EB to ask if they still had any in stock). The case I have is functional but to be honest is a bit of a disgrace so if you want it you are welcome to it but I suspect you would want to factor getting a new case into the equation! I would prefer pick up ( from Loughborough, Leicestershire ) and would welcome you bringing any amps etc you would like to try it through ( I recently sold all of my Trace Elliot kit and my 15 watt practice amp probably won't do it justice ). I will answer any questions as best I can. I would like it to go to a good home. No BASS exchanges as I am not playing bass any more - but would consider a high end Electro Acoustic Guitar ( Martin - Taylor - or Takamine ( not G series !! ) - but it would have to be a very special instrument in good condition.
