I had standard USA HH sterling, compared to USA stingray, sterling had a little bit colder sound, this model is very similar to classic stingray sound, maybe because of 2 band preamp, laquer neck..etc.. Here is spec: http://www.music-man.com/instruments/basses/classic-sterling-4.html

Yes, rare one...Sterling have smaller neck and body..rest is like stingray.
