    Elixir Medium B string with nanoweb coating, 130tw, long scale. £6 including P&P. The string has only been on for a couple of days, with very little playing, and has not been cut. Nice string, but not for me. Paypal only please.

    Thanks for the replies. I emailed Fender as well, and the consensus seems to be go for a nickel plated round wound, and wait for it to deaden a bit. I might just keep the fender B string that came with the bass for now, but I haven't tried the Sunbeams before, so maybe I'll try them also.

    I'm thinking of trying the Fender 7150 Pure Nickel strings (medium gauge) out, but I'd like to put them on my V string P bass, and they only seem to come in IV string sets. What B string would people recommend as a good match to complete the set? Thanks.

Now Sold.[/s] [s]La Bella Quarter Wound, 5 string set, 45-128, XL scale: E and B are unused, and A, D, and G have only had light playing for a week. £20 £15.50 including P&P. [/s] [s]Fender Pure Nickel 7150M, 45-105, long scale: E and G are unused, and the D and G were only on for a couple of days. £14 £10.50 including P&P. Now Sold.[/s] The strings I tried were put on my thru-body Fender P bass, see pictures for where the bends are. No strings were cut. All sets come with original packaging. Even though the quarter wounds are XL scale, they should fit a standard length bass (34"), as long as it has a thru-body bridge. Would consider trading for similar condition La Bella 760Ns (4 or 5 string set), or La Bella 760FSes. Attached are a few pictures. Paypal only please. Thanks for looking!
