  1. Final price drop, it won't go any lower.

    Ampeg SVT3 Pro.

Bought in April 2014 from PMT.

Gigged half a dozen times. Fantastic amp, unmistakeble Ampeg tone.

Selling as I have switched to a V4B.

The rubber feet on the underside of the head are missing. They weren't attached when it arrived from PMT and after numerous calls asking them to get me replacements I gave up as I was mounting it in a rack case anyway. They also promised me a set of strings for my inconvenience but they didn't turn up either!

Not shown in the pics is the power cable but I do have it and will of course include it in the sale.

Now asking £400.00 including fully insured courier service to a UK address...or you can collect
    No trades.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any questions.

  2. Korg Pitchblack Pro tuner.

Minimal use. Had it in a rack case along with a 3Pro.

I now use a V4B head so easier for me to go back to a floor pedal hence the reason for sale.

Tracks just as quick as the regular Pitchblack pedal (which I have used for years).

Tuner, removable mounting brackets, screws and power supply all included. I have painted 'Korg tuner' on the power supply for easy identification.

Pretty much as new. All of the original packaging is intact as you will be able to see in the pics.

Asking £45 including 2nd class recorded postage to a UK address.
    No trades.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any questions.

  3. Now £550 or split as follows....
    SVT3Pro - £475
    Pitchblack Pro - £40
    Proel - £35

I got this rig together back end of April, all items purchased new.

Gigged half a dozen or so times along with a few midweek rehearsals.

    Everything in full working order.

It had been my ideal set up except for the nagging wish that I had pushed the boat out and gone for an all tube amp which I have now sorted.

It is honestly a great, unmistakably sounding 'Ampeg' amp, concerns over low volume can only be from users playing in too loud bands, inefficient cabs or some other reason that inexplicably requires cranking the master AND gain. Even then you can always engage the EQ and push up the volume slider.

I have added a 1U blank on the rear of the rack case and have cable tied an extension cable to it so the 3Pro and Korg can be plugged into that leaving just the extension cable lead needing a mains socket. There is also a speakon cable from the 3 Pro that I will leave in place.

The Proel has carry handles on both sides and easy enough to carry. There are also zip pockets in the end covers for cable stowage etc.,

    Total weight approx 40lbs.

Postal charges at cost or welcome to collect.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any questions.

  4. I have just picked up an Ampeg PF350 for home use into a 112 or unplugged from the cab to use with headphones and ipad/laptop/iPhone.

It's a great feature that I think most of these small class D heads now have. You can't really go wrong with a PF or any of the ones already named.

  5. Here's mine with a BassDoc tort guard

Not entirely sure it's Lake Placid though...I have always thought it looked a bit darker than LP. It's a 2000 American Standard.

Great colour and guard combo though, I love it.

  6. I don't think anyone has said anything about trying to get a tube tone with a driven SS power amp stage?

Getting dirt at low volumes whether on all valves or hybrids is not best achieved by cranking the gain and feeding in a bit of master while keeping it quiet enough for bedroom levels.

In the case of the TB it can sound like mush and certainly on valve amps they can sound thin and buzzy until you really get to a point where the master is adding depth and 'volume' in a space context.

Best way to get dirt at bedroom levels is keep it clean and add an O/D pedal.

As ever though, people have their own opinions.

EDIT: only my opinion again but to be hearing cooling fans we must be talking about really lllllooowwwww volumes. Aside from when the amps are powering up I don't notice fan noise at all. That's the same for my old TB, the SVT3Pro and PF350.
