1. HI there, the guitarist is Nick Linnik - https://www.instagram.com/nick.linnik/ He also produced the track Drums Nico Py
 2. I have a new album called ACID FUNK in production with my guitarist Nick Linnik. We've put out 3 singles so far with the latest one released just this Monday. The bass has an unusual sequence and is maybe a bit "muso" but then again I do describe our music as "Alternative RnB" or "funk fusion" for some tracks. My fellow bassists might like the bass I recorded with my Sandberg California TM5 going through the EICH 500T. Here's a link to choose your platform to take a listen https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/yolandacharlesprojectph/hey-now I also recorded a playalong of the track for Dingwall today - that'll be out next week on their channel.
 3. Oh you read that? Cool, more to come And thanks👋
 4. Yes, I had the Jazz Am Pro on that tour :)
 5. Happy to be here, back to being active again!. (Mamayo is the name of my record label and 1st album), I'm here to talk bass and share my music as well as help anyone out who might have questions I might be able to answer - and to find answers to my own questions from all the wisdom here (bass players are the wisest band members, it goes with the instrument ).
 6. Here's the link to his one-off London date in August: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/event/hadrien-feraud--insolence-tickets/72255 He'll have a featured vocalist - Joy Rose formerly of Incognito and backing vocalist to Sting amongst others. This is a different kind of set from Hadrien than people are used to from him. I'm excited to hear what he's up to with the new material including previews of some new his album tracks I believe.
 7.
1.05 to 1.12 is a bit good innit! bloody hell
It's also the feel of that Octaves bit and the main melody, timing and touch. :-) So the simpler moments ironically... they're Heavyweight!
 8. Hey never seen anything live of him so young. Thnx. Good to see how he's changed over the years and that the awesomeness has always been there really. His tastes have changed and his new album will showcase that in an interesting way I believe.
 9. http://youtu.be/WJP0WnPY4kc Love this clip of him during this'years Namm show.
 10. Just about to announce my August guest for my new events nights in London. Paul Jackson is our 1st and we've now booked Hadrien Feraud our 2nd night. He'll be playing in a trio setting with Michael Lecoq on keys and Yoann Schmidt on drums. A mixture of soulful Jazz and with additional vocals from guests. My Events page on Facebook will be updated soon with more details, but you've heard it here 1st. https://www.facebook.com/mamayomusic Yolanda
 11.
Anything in the Bristol area would be excellent
Any venue suggestions Myke?
 12.
I'm just north of Manchester, 'Band on the Wall' in Manchester has reopened recently and might be up for a 'big name' evening to promote their relaunch.
Oh thanks for the headsup on that one! Will look into that.
 13.
Anything outside of that London?
Actually yes, I'm working on the next session being carried outside London while I have the musicians availble. Nothing in time for Paul's session, but my August session may well be confirmed for elsewhere. Where are you based? I'm actually looking for venues in good locations.
 14.
What's the format for the evening??
Format is Paul will perform a masterclass set with a drummer. Then I'll run a Q&A for him at the end. A short break then a jam session featuring London musicians with Paul sitting in if he feels like a Jam. No entry fee required for those already watching the Masterclass, but late attendees gain access to the Jam from 8-8:30 for a fiver.
 15. Here's where you can get tickets: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/event/66733

 17.
Yolanda! We've never met but have sort of conversed many years ago on FB. I know there are MANY players on here who appreciate and respect your work. I hope you'll stick around and enjoy being part of the community. PS: Mr Weller lives down the road from me apparently...
I'll add the odd thought or two when it fits, nice to know there's positivity here. Ooh yes Paul, must try n get him down to one of my Jam sessions. I bumped into him in a car park last time I saw him, was lovely to catch up. All smiles and good vibes.
 18.
Hey Yolanda, Welcome to BC! Apparently you have a lot to contribute, and I'm sure we'll be hanging from your lips trying to absorb each and every syllable. Me, I noobly have no idea who you are, so I'd ask you to please cut me some slack, so I can find out before getting jealous. BTW, people are not having pops at famous people here. That is a very, very sad misunderstanding. No fear. You'll do just fine. Enjoy the site and its banter! best, bert
Thanks, and of course I didn't sign up here expecting people to know me already, I wanna introduce myself and share what I'm up to in the bass community. Feels like a nice warm welcoming place so far! I'll post stuff and you'll get to know me eventually!
 19.
Welcome Yolanda, great stuff. Of course you have created a monster for yourself! Now, how long before the terminal GAS in the sweetie shop called "for sale"?
I am definitely not shopping, in fact I refuse to even look... Will just resist temptation. "55 replies!, what a pity we cannot show such a response to non celeb newbies " Thanks to all for the greetings tho' I dunno about 'celeb' really???? that's quite funny! Maybe they'll start a survival in the jazz solo programme called "I'm a bass player get me the hell........."
 20.
Welcome Yolanda. So nice to have another professional bass player on here to keep the rabble like myself right . Really loved your playing with Mr Weller especially on the clip below. Lovely looking P bass as well. Do you still have it/use it?
Sold that one a while back now, more into the Jazz sound so when I got my '65 didn't feel the need to keep the '78 P bass. Never been asked for that sound specifically so was an ok choice. Not into having loads of basses. I've got 4 5's and 3 4's Fender Jazz deluxe 5, Levinson blade B25 Penta, Sei 5 flamboyant, Mayones Jabba. Levinson Blade B2 Tetra Classic '92, Levinson Blade Tetra, Fender Jazz '65 which I was selling but changed my mind :-) Thank goodness!
