1. Hi,

As the title says I have up for sale my Genz-Benz Streamliner 900 amp.
The amp is in mint condition however it does suffer from the dreaded "blue light syndrome" that is fairly common on these models. [s]I have the replacement LED's that were sent to me from Bass Direct where I originally purchased the amp[/s]. Otherwise the amp is as new. Only gigged twice and band practice a half dozen times.

Only shipping to the UK with cost included in the sale price. If in London the buyer can also pick up from Chiswick, West London.

Cheers,

[s]Have edited the post from the original. I can't find the replacement LED's that I was sent so am reducing the price to £380. I am trying to obtain replacement ones from KMC Music who now look after the servicing of Genz-Benz Amps but so far have not heard back from them. Will update post if any luck.[/s]

Edited again 19/11/2015. Replacement LED's now received from KMC Music.

I'm sure a lot depends on the complexity of design and materials employed - if you can do a complete refret of an old neck or turn a fretted fingerboard into a fretless using infill veneers for the slots then I don't see why you can't retrofit inlays.

Makes sense...

I'm pretty certain Ben Crowe at Crimson Guitars in Dorset could do anything you want http://crimsonguitars.com/

Thanks...
That came up in my Google search. A bit of a dumb question (which wouldn't be unusual for me) but all the info I've come across deals with inlays on a new build. I'm assuming they can be retro-fitted as well?

4. Up for sale is my Ken Smith Burner (1994) 6 string.
I'm not the original owner of this bass and as such it has had some mods along the way.
First off the electronics have been changed to the Smith BMT 5 knob circuit which was an upgrade from the standard Burner electronics. Secondly it has apparently had a re-fret along the way. There are a few dings on the body but nothing major even for my discerning tastes. Also on the body there is two small screw holes where someone had previously attached a thumb rest.
This bass plays beautifully with a nice low action.
Not looking to post this bass as of yet so collection only from Chiswick in West London.

I've seen worse offerings from internationally acclaimed boutique bass builders, aesthetically speaking.

I've actually played one and apart from being uncomfortable they're not too bad.

There's some truth to that first part.

6. Many thanks Mark!!!
Great doing business with discreet. A painless and easy transaction (although I'm not taking into account the nightmare that London's Overground system can be). A great preamp in fantastic condition.
Cheers,
Pete
