You could pick up an 80's CIJ Westone Concord bass for cheap. Nothing but good things are said about Matsumoku made guitars and they're nearly vintage!

Particularly Precision and Jazz owners, What bridge did you replace it with and did you keep the original? I'm looking to switch from badass back to a stock bridge and need to find which type is compatible and a direct replacement.

The Q series ran around 2002 and basically introduced some really cool custom colours with matching headstocks. There is a myth (over at offset guitar forum) that these were higher quality than previous CIJ guitars. It isn't proven but is a good selling point. Also check out the limited edition blonde jm with red tort guard! Mmmm

Congratulations. Is it a Q series by any chance? I ask because of the matching headstock. If so this series has a 'cult following!'

Hello, My name is Joe and I'm from Staffordshire. I started to play guitar aged 11 or 12. A decade later I decided to get my first bass (a few days ago infact!) I've joined this forum to learn, gas at pictures and trade! Being a huge fan of the American Highway 1 guitar series, I now have a '07 Jazz Bass in sunburst which I hope to accompany me on recording and who knows? Maybe gigging.
