1. Dear All, The Bass has now been sold.
2. Now dropped the price to £700 in an aim to stir some interest.
3. What's this 'bump' stuff that people keep doing?
4. Thanks Discreet!! Really helpful of you.
5. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
6. Hi Steve - yes I am, I would send via courier rather than royal mail though unless there are any other suggestions. I can email photos if you want them by the way. Just PM me your email (if the forum rules allow that sort of stuff).
7. @Discreet - thanks for the heads up, i'll be checking them out.
8. I'm well aware that I could be bordering on being the most despised newbie to this forum in its short but illustrious history however I am really struggling figuring out how to post pics onto this thread. Can anyone help? Apologies in advance. Re the location question...I'm in Woodford in Essex (on the London/Essex border), about 15 mins from junction 26 of the M5 or the end of the Central Line (London Underground). I'm also down in South East Devon a fair amount of time if that helps at all.
9. An incredibly warm welcome, thanks chaps!! If I'm in the market for arse repair, opiate advisory or diverson I now know where to look!! @ milty... try some Pete Cornish. They do for planet wave what broadband did to the tin can and string!!
10. Thanks Warwickhunt. I'll get the pics on asap.
11. Guys, Firstly, huge apologies for my absence. It was not my intention to not follow forum rules and leave you in the lurch. I've been manically trying to balance my 14 hour days, arranging a move to New York and an incredibly needy group of friends. I'm ideally looking for £800 but open to offers dependant on ease of pickup/delivery etc. I'm not 'fishing' for offers but as this is the first time I've used a forum to sell equipment have very little idea of the process. I'm on my mobile at the moment but will update posts with pics this afternoon. Apologies again, A
12. Hello all, I'm looking to reduce my freight bill on an upcoming move to the US and have decided to part with my '00 Warwick FNA Jazzman (4 String), it's been played infrequently for the last 6 years and has been acting more as a bit of wall art than a musical instrument recently. It is one of the most versatile basses I've played and can be easily contorted into fitting a huge amount of sounds through various setups; I remember buying this bass and it was down to this one and a fairly standard Stingray - on comparison this bass won hands down in terms of fullness of sound, versatiliy and looks. The bass has a beautifully flamed maple top, swamp ash body and Ovangkol neck. the link to the full spec is here ... http://www.warwick.d...php?katID=14434.. be warned, it's on the heavy side of chuckable. The bass is wholly original and has been kept in very good condition. There is a 2mm scratch on the headstock and some 'fingernail dimples' underneath the strings due to some over-enthusiastic slap and there is a slight dirt shade from where the wrist sits through to the top of the pickups. The dirt shade is very light and is something that I can remove on request however I actually think the bass looks even better with a slightly 'lived in' look to juxtapose the fairly bright flamed maple. All of the gold hardware is in pristine condition and the bass still sounds splendid. The bass will be sold with a Levys wide suede strap with locking pins and a soft but incredibly durable rockbag (the original one with a lot of protection, not the shoddy new ones). I'm open to hearing offers on this bass as I really need to give it a new home before April, please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for reading, A http://i734.photobuc...zps8ef6d17b.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zpsed685091.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zps1f0c016a.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zpsd3480242.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zpsd16c878b.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zps4a92f97d.jpg
13. Hello all, I must admit I've joined primarily to find a nice new home for my Warwick FNA Jazzman but after reading through some threads I think I might be visiting more frequently. I've played bass since a spot of popping and slapping was considered enormously sexy and have covered a lot of genres on the way. I've now largely swapped speed for scales and find most enjoyment smashing out some pretty obscure jazz along with a few django wannabees. Kit wise, I'm running various basses (Warwick FNA Jazzman, Sundgear SR1200 and an absolutely knackered 88 PBass that I adore more than most of my family members) through a Trace Eliott AH-600 12 band head with either a Markbass 4x10 or homemade 1x12. One thing to note, I can't get enough of spending ridiculous amounts of money on cables. I'm actually moving to New York from London in the next two months so am looking to reduce my freight bill by introducing a couple of things to the sale section. I'm about to put my Warwick on there but after a few reads it wouldn't seem as if there's a huge amount of demand for them. This revelation upsets me a bit as I consider that bass to be the best all round gigging and recording basses I've come across. Can anyone tell me why no one like them anymore? Hope that was enough introduction. A
