  1. Hi all,

Getting a bit tired of carrying my hard case around to rehearsals and gigs so looking to get a gig bag. I have a status graphite S2 headless and want a gig bag that will suit. I've checked with status but they're currently out of stock.

    Any suggestions?

  2. Bought an S2 classic from wal4string and received it in 2 days of first contact.
All questions were answered as quickly as possible, with videos of every part of the bass being sent. Bass kept in perfect condition as is like new, he was honest about every detail.
Extremely quick shipping and is keeping in contact with any questions I may have.

Pleasure to deal with and would gladly buy from wal4string again.

  3. Hi ho,

Just recently purchased a Status S2 headless on BassChat and I need some help locating strings.

It takes double-ball end strings (will take normal strings but want to try out the doubles). Does anyone know of a shop in London that stocks them? I know I can get them online but always nice to be able to go into a shop and pick them up straight away.

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

I'm new on here and just wanted to get this first post out of the way.

I've been playing bass now for about 10 years, during which I was a member of a small Irish band for about 5 years but that ended on musical differences (I was musical and they were just different). I play mainly because I love the instrument now and for my own enjoyment.

As far as gear goes, it's not exactly high end stuff but it's what suits me. I have a Yamaha RBX270J which I bought about 5 years ago and have since been constantly tweaking and upgrading. However I am now at the stage when I want to find something new so I am in for any recommendations people may have. My amp is an Ashdown Electric Blue 180, only really used for home use but can pack a punch for gigs if needed.

I am currently quite into Mark King and am trying my hand at his techniques (with limited success) but I like to keep my playing in all areas of music, it's more fun that way.

And that's about it for now.
