Very interested in the amp, but not the cab.
The 1x15 weighs HOW MUCH?? 85kg with only one speaker in it? What's it made of?!?
Thats what i was just thinking
My sciatica would love that cab lol -
Im getting lots of cool reccomendations cheers guys
Only thing concerning me is my Ashdown gets a lot of abuse
We play pretty loud and i use lots of effects fuzz and overdrive
is there any difference in having a lightweight jobbie for this sort of abuse or am i better keeping my ashdown tank -
I have owned a mesa boogie powerhouse 4x10 for about 4 years and it is absolutely awesome. I have tried lots of heads through it and they all sound great Mesa 400+/ Fender bassman 135/ Ampeg svt3 pro and some cheaper ones also.
The cab is huge with 3 ports and an adjustable horn attenuator.
It is rated at 600 watts continuous, 1200 watts peak. Not sure of the exact SPL, but it certainly shifts some air.
It was very expensive and weighs a ton but well worth it for the sound, and reliability, it produces.
cheers

think you may have missed the point a little my friend
Selling my ashdown because i got a back problem isnt really going to be solved by buying a heavier and more expensive cab
lol -
Wow can tell im not on Talkbass if someone had posted this on there it would have been flamed by about 50 miserable old C***S that spend more time on bass forums than they do playing bass saying Use the search function you noob !!!
Where are you? You can hear, and play one, at the Robin Bibi Blues Jam tomorrow night at the Winsor Castle, Carshalton. They have a website with directions. Bring your own bass.
Thats a pretty big coincidence being as I Live in croydon and will be at carshalton college tomorrow !
ill pop in on the way back ive played the jam night there a few years back -
wow these barefaced bigones look awesome been checking out there site
will have to try one out
That Epi 4x10 is the sort of thing im after what do they sound like -
all i would reccomend with hi beams is buy a guage heavier than you would use in other makes as they are seriously low tension and for that reason i dont like em
They feel like spagehtti on my jazz tuned down half a step -
yeah kinda
the size fits no problem but it makes it damn awkward to manuvere because its so damn heavy
a 10kg lighter cab the same size wouldnt be a problem
