4.
I have a Bass Collection SGC Nanyo SB310 if you are interested. It's a great bass which I bought for teaching on account of it being so light to carry around all day. Surplus to requirements as I prefer something more chunky!! I'm assuming yours is a Mexican precision at that price? Anyway, let me know - further details if your interested, Christian
Thanks for the offer! Any chance I could see pictures of the bass? Really i'm after an SB320 so i don't think I will budge on that one. To be honest i'm after a Fleabass more! Would you be interested in buying the bass straight cash? Cheers, Mike
 5.
Mexican?
Indeed it is!

 8. Hi, Selling my Source Audio OFD Very good bass modeler, very useful for all kinds of overdrive/distortion/fuzz. Practically BRAND NEW. Have only owned it for about 2 weeks. Asking price: £150 Let me know! Mike
 9. Hi There, Selling my 300 watt Ashdown Combo. A good clean sounding amp that can push quite a lot of air for just a couple of 2x10s!!! Perfect for bedroom use, practice rooms, small pubs/clubs and everything in between! This is the older style one with the traditional carpet covering. In perfect condition with no wear or tear. Asking for £150 which I think is very reasonable. New these things go for somewhere in the £400 range. Pick-up only due to weight and postage difficulties. Would be willing to meet around the South London area though if that is easier! (i'm located in Bromley) Let me know guys! Cheers! Mike
 10.
It's True Bypass.
Thanks!
 11. reviving an old thread here... Does anyone know what the bypass is like on this pedal?
 12. HAHA i tried the Darkglass and I don't know it wasn't for me. There was something in there that just didn't do it for me :\ Think I might be getting the EBS Billy Sheehan pedal. It looks like it does what i'm looking for.
 13. Ok after my last post and after some more research I think I know what pedals I may have narrowed my search down too. Looking for that grindy, edgey Distortion, but musical and articulate at the same time. If that made any sense? Think of some RATM, Rush, some Killers (Jenny was a friend of mine etc) some Kings of Leon (Pony Up, Supersoaker etc) some Strokes (Juicebox, Heart in a cage etc) some Cribs (Men's needs etc) some Arctic Monkeys. You get what I mean. Like I said "grindy" with an emphasiss in the mid-range (I think?) Anyway, Here are the pedals I think will get me there. Let me know if i'm wrong or if there are any others to consider! JHS Lo Drive Hardwire CM-2 Marshall Guvnor Ruzzrocious Rat Tail Remember blending is an option with a blend type pedal (LS-2 etc) so let me know if any of them or any others you suggest requires one. I'm playing through a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 into a Focus 4x10T cab. Let me know what you think guys!
 14.
Probably will It will push your gain into the amp if the pedal is set up with a hot output No problem putting a pedal into a Streamliner.
I'll give it a go. Thanks, really greatful for your feedback!
 15.
You could but the overall volume would increase
ahh cool thanks. Well when I use the overdrive i'd like to get louder anyway so I guess it isn't too much of a problem. Is there a problem using bass OD pedals with a single tube inside infront of a bass amp with a tube pre such as the streamliners? What i'm getting at is, would the tube OD in the pedal still effect and "heat up" the tubes in the pre on the Genz? Again I hope that made sense LOL
 16.
Mine are stock. For pretty gnarly tube grind: Have the gain button pushed in; Lower the volume (left hand volume) to almost off; DIME the gain. Then, bring the left hand volume up a touch, and use master for the actual volume. If you don't have the left volume down, it may be incredibly loud!
Thanks Can you have the gain switch on and set to clean with a little bit of dirt and then use an overdrive pedal to push it? Or alternatively have the gain switch off and do the same thing? having a high gain signal going into it. Would this be like having the gain switch turned on? I hope that made some sort of sense...
 17. What tubes are used in the Streamliners? Has anyone replaced there's for different results? Would like some nice tube grind to my tone if possible.
 18.
These are great http://basschat.co.u...87#entry2276587
Looks cool. Would it matter playing a bass overdrive pedal with a valve inside into a bass amp with a valve pre? Will this still effect the tubes in my pre amp?
 19.
If the simplest solution is the most reliable, it sounds like you might just need an overdrive pedal, imho. You're still running the valve stage, and by default with a slightly hotter signal when pre-distorted. The gritty tubes will compress the overdrive wave and smoosh it about in a nice valvey way, but without startling the sound man.
Thanks this explains a lot. Could you recommend any at all?
 20.
You'll get a massive volume increase when you push in the high gain button. The distortion is wonderful though. You can ride the sweet spot, so you can go from clean to dirty just using your fingers. I suggest you play one before you buy so you know what you are getting. And no, there isn't a footswitch socket on the Streamliners.
So are you saying my idea isn't really a good one? and won't get me any results? I understand the volume increase, but will a boost basically be like flipping the gain switch and accessing that distortion? I have played through one and I really like the amp + its natural distortion.
 21. Who else here owns a streamliner? how do you find it? Check out my other thread here... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/222337-what-do-you-think-of-my-idea/ to see what I might try and do with it in this situation. Thankful for any further feedback.
 22. My Movember effort could fit with this party well
 23. Just ordered a Streamliner 900 and FCS-410T cab. Should be with me tomorrow! can't wait!
 24. Hmmmm what about the phat phuck B from Wren and Cuff? I was reading on the site about how it dosen't just simply "increase the volume"
