  1. If you can find an OLP MM3 5 string then these are well worth a punt.

They look virtually indistinguishable from an actual stingray and they play very well indeed. The other plus is that some people love them so if you get a bargain on one you will probably sell it for what you bought it for. I bought one for £150 and sold it for £150 18 months down the line.

  2. Purely from an imagination point of view I would love a Sandberg P bass with dual humbuckers (one in the MM position) with the wood finished in blue. I forget the name but there is a custom air rifle stock maker (gary something or other) who does some amazing stuff and I'd love a Sandberg bass that looks like his work.

    Sums it up perfectly.

I think if we did buy it, it would be a shame to just burn it. We'd get way more mileage out if it if we were to send it around and post videos of our attempts to actually play the damn thing.

Nobody tells me what I have the time for or how I spend my time.

No - and neither do most of us here who have partners. You say it like you think we are some kind of prisoners in our own home?

When we are choosing how to spend our time we have to consider other people and their arrangements. The difference is for most us - that is our partners and family. For you it is your band members.

In the middle of my left hand where my fingers meet my palm, there's a bit there that goes underneath the neck of a bass.
The trick here is that conveniently, that hand is connected to my arm and as long as I remember to take my arm to the gig I don't have a problem with neck dive.

I don't get it! Can you post pics of what you mean?! :yarr:
